He has been my ob/gyn for the past 3 years. I traveled 150 miles south just to keep him as my physician when he moved. He is an amazing dr!

I believe this new doctors name is Newman? Lets just start with dont really care for him. Left very frustrated and uncomfortable. Either way this was my first time going to see an OBGYN so obviously I was nervous. I told him I had had some pretty intense pain a few weeks back in my ovarie area. He sat there so awkwardly just staring like at me but not like at my face just breathing in and out and flipping his fingers on his knee. Then explained to me how awkward its gonna be if he has to do an exam. Its basically me using my fingers you know kind of feeling around like WHAT? Then gives me no alternative to finding out where or whats causing the pain. He said it may have been a ruptured cyst. Didnt tell me how to confirm that but ya know. Told me to just take some over the counter medicine next time it happens and when I turn 21 I can come back in for an exam.The rest of the staff was nice and everything. But I do not like him at all and will never go back.

Watch out for the new doctor Dr.Newman. I have never had such a terrible experience at a doctors office. He almost gave me a heart attack because he misread my lab results. I knew something didnt make sense when he gave me the results because I keep up with my health religiously. That same day I immediately went to my pcp who works for the same hospital as Dr.Newman, so he could read my lab results and he was like no everything is good, he definitely misread your lab results. I also called the clinic who processed my lab work and they told me that everything was negative and I was completely fine. I retook the tests somewhere else just to be extra sure and everything was negative. I just dont know how a doctor and a staff full of nurses misreads lab results. I immediately changed doctors that day, and complained to Byrd Regional, and they started an investigation. This all happened summer 2020 so hopefully hes changed his ways.
