I took my 10yo daughter to Hood Dental for the first time today. Shes extremely terrified of dentist. I thought there was no way theyll even be able to have her lay, or sit in the chair. Well, the hygienist Alice proved me wrong. She was absolutely wonderful, and had my daughter so comfortable. My daughter was all smiles throughout the entire process, and after leaving her appointment. Everyone there is so nice and caring. They know how to make you feel at ease. I cant say enough good things about them. I highly recommend Hood Dental.

I have been a patient at Hood Dental for between 15 and 20 years. I have never had any problems with them until recently. Although I do think they are way too expensive I stayed with them because I didnt really want to have to switch dentist. I had an appointment on 2/15/24 for a cleaning. Allison was my hygienist. She said my teeth looked so good she didnt even need to clean them. She polished and flossed my teeth and took some X-rays. She also put fluoride on them. I was so excited because I have been trying so hard to keep them clean. When I went to pay I was charged $216.80. Needless to say I was pretty shocked. But I know they are very expensive and out of network so I knew I would get some of that back. I received a check for $69.00 from my insurance company. I still thought it was high considering they hardly did anything. Well now I get a call I owe $148.10 more. When I asked about it I was told that the notes says she did scaling, prodding, and things she did not do. I explained to them that she did not do these things. I was told because I didnt bring up concerns in the day I paid the $216.80 that it was my problem and I had to pay the other $148.10 coincidentally I found out the hygienist that worked on me turns out to be Dr Hoods daughter, Allison. Needless to say I will not be going back to Hood dental. I hate that this happened because there are some very good people there. But I will not be overcharged for services I did not receive and be called a liar by Hood Dental.
I paid the $148.10 just as I have always paid my bills from them. I have never complained or not paid my bill in all of these years.
Maybe they are getting too big for their business.
