I have been with Cox since I moved back to Baton Rouge in 2018. I have always had the highest internet speed with unlimited data added. So $180.00 is what I have been paying just for internet. I got sick with Covid and lost my job in 2020 when the pandemic first started. I am still unemployed and a long hauler dealing with post-Covid symptoms and still seeing several specialists. My husband is the only breadwinner right now and blessed that he has been able to hold us down. When I lost my unemployment after Gov Edwards stopped the pandemic pay in July my husband switched jobs for more money but we still fell behind on our bills. I called Cox to explain my dilemma and the rep told me there was nothing they could do although we were only a month behind. You have people paying the cheapest service you offer and many behind on their payments receiving Government Assistance to help. We have paid our bills every month through this pandemic and with no government assistance but yet I called just to get a few more days to make my payment and there was nothing Cox can do. You are not loyal to your loyal customers and honestly your internet is always glitching, shutting off but we didn’t complain and continued paying bills. Our service is supposed to be interrupted today so if Cox does I have another internet provider on standby. I will let Cox go. Cox is more like Corporate America they are not worried about customer longevity and loyalty, they just want money. They don’t even have a reminder set-up to alert you when your deal is ending and your service goes straight to regular price. But we deal with it and they don’t respect that.
