Didn't deliver mail for over a week yet was labeled as delivered on informed delivery. Kept telling me to just request a resend from the sender, not possible for some of those. Dealt with a few rude and unhelpful people. No help at all.

No one ever answers the phone. You have to go down and wait in line just to get a simple answer about something.

Very slow people working here ..On top of that, they switch mail carriers on our route ..So,because they switch carriers a lot of people get notices that their mailbox doesn't have a resident attached to it and they have to fill out a form and mail it in or take it here.
If that's not enough ,they literally leave the mailbox door open in our building consistently over the last 2 months ..

Wouldn't deliver my documents I shipped out, even though I dropped them off at the post office 11/06/23, FINALLY started to move the mailed item on 11/09/23. I needed the items delivered before 11/10/23 because the place I sent it to was closed on 11/10/23. They tried to deliver on 11/10/23 but couldn't do it because the business was closed, that is fine, HOWEVER, it was then supposed to be delivered the following business day, 11/13/23. It is now 11/15/23 and my documents are STILL NOT DELIVERED!! It's been 3 business days!! I paid $8 bucks to have this delivered before 11/10/23!! This is unacceptable!!!!

I'd love to leave more than one star since any time I have needed to come here for stamps or money orders, things were fine.
But I have had three different addresses in the area this office provides service to, and at all three of them, over an 8 year span, I have had recurring issues with packages being delivered very late (specifically remaining at this location several extra days, at least, before delivery despite living less than a mile away), or disappearing after arrival here without being delivered, or in the latest case being returned to the sender for reasons beyond my mortal awareness on the day it should have been delivered. This has never been an issue with anything delivered to me via FedEx, Amazon, etc. Only once this place is involved, if it's in a box of any kind.
Highly recommend if you live in the Newport area and have the option for any USPS packages to be delivered elsewhere that you do just that. Any time I have had packages delivered via USPS to family several towns over, there are no problems.
