image The facility lacks communication. The speech pathologist buy my Grandmother on a puree diet though she was admitted due to a compound fracture. No one contacted me (Her PoA and Health Care Surrogate) about the change. This morning the nurse yelled at me about giving my grandmother a doughnut. She had to look at the chart to say the change was made over 2 days ago. When asked why, she couldn't say but said it was not her area. So a 100 year old woman can't eat her food because a woman decided not to let her eat soft foods and tell no one. You have to fight for your loved ones in this facility.

Often changes are made in a hospital setting that are too numerous to contact the family for each change as opposed to the requirement for long term care. image I was there visiting my dad and his amputated leg hadn't had a sterile dressing on it in over 5 hours and he had been laying in his poop for over 4 hours. Very disappointed

image From the moment I arrived at SKY rehab I was greeted with friendly faces. Everyone treated with the utmost respect and compassion. I spent six days there for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy following surgery to remove part of a brain tumor. All of the therapists were excellent in their pre-evaluation, treatment, and post evaluation of me. I felt confident when I left that I had the skills to take home until I started my outpatient therapy in my hometown of Glasgow, KY.
Each and every nurse, CNA, Tech, and Therapist were kind, caring, compassionate, and patient. I never felt like they were rushed in caring for me and I felt like they truly cared about me as a person. I was given goals to reach each day and I reached them because I wanted to go home. The food was good. It was always at the right temperature, right portion size, and if I did not like something that was sent there was always other options. When I had to call for someone to help me to the bathroom or to fill my water pitcher the light was always answered quickly and I never had to wait on anyone to come help me. I felt like they treated me like part of the family while I was there. Each and every person I came in contact while I was at SKY proved to me by the way in which they cared for me that they loved what they were doing and cared about me. I highly recommend SKY rehab if you ever need rehabilitation. I am now home and confident that what they did for me at SKY has made a tremendous difference in my recovery.

image Being a nurse on staff here? Im very disappointed reading these reviews. I was one who sincerely tried to give 150%. Who showed loving and professional care to every patient. However I was not given any feedback on policy. A very rapid orientation, trying to sincerely learn expectations only to be belittled and treated VERY unprofessional by a fellow nurse yelling at me in front of everyone and then I was let go?? After I had just had my contract extended. Unfortunately they cater to the ones who complain and not try to support the staff who are truly trying to be professional. Definitely a hostile environment. I had no problem with the other nurses it was the travel nurses who felt the need to belittle others and lie to make themselves look better. Only two were like this. But now I see why they cant keep staff. Not ONCE was I pulled to be coached or asked about anything. Just a vague not a good fit after months of giving my all. They kept the very rude, very unprofessional staff. Im truly sorry to everyone whose family has suffered. There WERE some of us who truly did try.
