I was in an extremely difficult spot when A Place For Mom suggested Illahee for my dad. Jess, the director, and her amazing staff, were so kind and helpful! They could see how stressed out I was and assisted with everything they could. Jess helped me find the perfect room for dad. Luckily, they give their residents call buttons in case they fall. He had a heart attack and being there, and having that fall button saved his life! Illahee is clean, beautiful, and welcoming. No one place can be everything for everyone all at the same time, aka they aren't perfect, but no place is. They do all they can do for everyone they can, and that is as close to perfect as you're going to get. Thank you all for showing my dad and I such kindness!

I love that my Ma has found a place where she feels like she is safe, yet independent and she truly feels like a valued member of this community. People notice when you arent there, and they care.
The activities are fun, Chef Joe is awesome! All the staff treat us like family and welcome us to join in if space allows.
The real value to me is in the family atmosphere, even to non residents like me. The furniture, paintings and art in the halls also really make it feel good to be there.
We definitely appreciate Illahee Hills doing their best in keeping things affordable for people on a fixed income.

My best advice before you move into any retirement home is talk to some of the long term residents, not the residents that the retirement home picks for you to talk to, but go look for residents walking around or at lunch, do this without any staff members looking over your shoulder, because you do not want them to influence the residents in and way, if youre loved one has Alzheimers do not go to a retirement home that says Independent Living please do your homework before you make a move.

My friend just moved in to this community. They are so attentive to her needs. They are very friendly. She has been more than welcomed there.
