I would not recommend this hospital solely on the basis of their billing department being disorganized.
At the time of my appointment, I informed the lady who took all of my information, that I would be paying cash. I asked what my cash payment would be and she said “I don’t know, we will send you the bill reflecting the discount.” Upon receiving my first bill, it was for the full insurance-billed amount. I have called every time I’ve received a bill asking for my cash price. Each time, I get “We will have to check on that.” I don’t hear from them, until the bill comes again for the same insurance-billed amount. So, the same cycle starts - I call, they say they will let me know or will send an updated bill. Has never happened. Now, I receive a final notice (for the same amount) and when I call in, I get transferred to the Manager Kris/Chris, who tells me my bill is the full amount and will not honor a cash price and they have no records of me calling (I wish I could add a screenshot of my call history I’ve pulled from my phone carrier). On top of that, Kris/Chris was trying to talk over me the entire time.
It’s sad that a few people can put such a bad taste in an organization that actually has good doctors. This is a reflection of poor upper management.
It’s worth the drive to Des Moines to get care.

Over the past 2-3 months I unfortunately have had to visit the hospital frequently. 2 trips to the ER, labs, imaging, and now office visits with Dr. Wehbe. I just want to say how incredible your entire staff is and how kind they have been to me. In every visit regardless of which part of the hospital I had to go, I am treated with professionalism and genuine concern for my health and comfort. To the nurses who far too often do not get the credit they deserve... thank you. To Dr. Wehbe and his staff... you took what was a very difficult day for me and made it better. Thank you... and thank you for remembering my Dad. To know that he and his family were not forgotten meant more than you can ever possibly imagine.
