Corridor Kitchens was great to work with when we were looking to replace our countertops. Amber and team were responsive, shared some great suggestions, and went above and beyond to make sure were satisfied with both our purchase and their service. Their products are competitively priced and the installation process went very smoothly. We couldnt be happier with our new countertops and wouldnt hesitate to work with them again! Would not recommend. There were so many issues working with Corridor Kitchens that I don't know where to begin. Our kitchen renovation completed on August 10th and we made our initial down payment in March. At the time we were told to expect 4-6 weeks for the project, not 5 months. These were not pandemic related delays, they were driven by disorganization, poor communication, lack of customer service, and general lack of motivation to do a good job. Amber was our primary point of contact and was as friendly as could be until she received our initial deposit. From that point on she was literally non-responsive. Never checked in on us, never communicated delays, it was all one way communication from my wife and I to try and get her attention. When we finally were able to get in touch with her she was very condescending and generally unhelpful. Although Amber knew our cabinets were delayed, she still allowed renovation to proceed so we had our entire main floor torn apart with nothing to put in place for many weeks. Here are several of the other issues we ran into:
- The 2nd or 3rd delays in countertops were known on a Friday by Corridor Kitchens but not communicated to us until Monday (we paid a drywall contractor weekend rates to ensure they were done by Monday)
- Measurements were wrong (wrong set of drawings provided to contractors)
-The pulls that we wanted didn't arrive and we were told that we didn't select any (but they were on our invoice)
-When cabinets were received they were damaged and we were made to feel that we were being overly critical of the damage
-We were responsible for coordinating all of the contractors for the remodel
-They demanded full payment before the countertops were even measured and when I said I wouldn't make the final payment until the job was done, that was interpreted to mean that we couldn't afford it and that "we do have customers from time to time that need a special payment plan"
-I asked them to hold the final check until the backsplash was installed - they deposited it anyway
-They never even came to do a walk through of the completed project.
All in all, we learned a valuable lesson in patience and the kids learned exactly what customer service shouldn't look like. We learned the hard way but want to reach as many of you as we can to ensure you don't have to suffer through what we did. This was a big investment around $20K to Corridor Kitchens (not to mention the contractors and each of the trades). You shouldn't spend that type of money anywhere and be treated like this. Very disappointed.
