Ive been using this Kemper office for several years to handle my very complicated personal taxes. We recently went through a three year audit and won.
They dont charge enough for the value they give

Our experience with Kemper has been terrible - not only did we receive poor service, but the costs were extremely high. We were billed $1000 for a 1 hour meeting with a CPA as we were dealing with a death in the family. We did not receive any tangible or intangible benefits from that meeting other than general advice and a few follow up emails. The CPA promised to follow up with research into several items we discussed, but we essentially got nothing in return. Had we realised that we were incurring those costs, we would not have consulted with them.
We've subsequently had them prepare taxes for a business which they had prepared returns for previously, and the returns were months late causing our personal and estate returns to also be filed late. We were then billed for that return (for a sum more than the other 6 returns, combined, that we worked with a different CPA on), and when I inquired about the invoice I received no response beyond another invoice the next month charging interest.
Poor service. Extremely expensive. I would avoid at all costs.
