Don't even know where to start. I am here now for 2 nights and will never return. Rented a cabin but with all of the construction going on it's a mess. I was lucky to get cabin #50. It's the nicest one here the rest are very old and run down. They turn the water off daily so without water from around 10am-???? No internet so the TV doesn't work. They should at least warn people before booking. The KOA side is very nice but they should close the cabin section until this construction is over.

This will be the last year we stay here. Some of the staff is absolutely rude, especially the reddish haired lady in the guard shack. Their gate card system works part time, then suddenly when they do turn it on and someone arrives, the lady at the guard shack says its not her problem and that she was getting ready to go have a smoke so we need to wait until she gets back to get in? Crime is going through the roof. This place is not what it used to be. The amenities are nice, and the grounds are decent, but it has created enough demand for the place that the employees and management no longer care how they treat people.

Many people live here, not friendly towards traveling Thousand Trails members. At check in, told to pick own site. Sites are not numbered, so you do not have to tell the office which site you are in. In the section we were in there were no site numbers, all sites which were level, were given to the full timers who live here. What was left for the traveling thousand trails members were uneven sites. This parks needs work. Plus, KOA has a park inside this park which is better taken care of for travelers.

This combination Thousand Trails/KOA is a large campground with a LOT of seasonal spots. We stayed for a week using our Thousand Trails membership and were put in an area that is mostly reserved for non annuals (therefore, least desirable sites) Wifi non existant. KOA sites were better maintained than the TT sites. The annual/seasonal area has well maintained sites but felt like a mobile home park.
Note to Thousand Trails corporate: It would be nice if your maps indicated seasonal spots (some parks do, lots of parks do NOT) as it is deceptive thinking you have a chance at choosing a nice spot on the lake, or in the trees. It appears seasonal folks get higher priority than those of us who travel around with memberships.
People drive golf carts everywhere blaring music and quite the raucus party atmosphere during the weekend. If that is your scene, you will enjoy your stay.
Batesville has an awesome pizza place (Isons) and some really nice trails to walk.
