After 25 years of use, the interior strings in three of our Pella blinds on a west wall disintegrated, leaving us with a mess of aluminum hanging haphazardly down the windows. We have 5 windows facing west and the sun reflecting off the lake did its damage. I knew it was a matter of time before the other two blinds fell.
I did not want to block our view and did not want drapes. Still, we needed coverings in the afternoon when the sun sent a blinding glare into our living room. After consulting with two vendors, we decided on shades as they could be retracted up into the valance we already had, and become invisible. Both vendors had excellent reviews. However, the price difference between them for the same brand shades, was over $500.00. So we went with Budget Blinds.
The blinds came in on time and Aron and Van installed them in 35 minutes. Before arriving, Aron made sure the blinds were fully charged. While here, he programmed the remote so that we could control the shades both individually and as a group. We can stop and start them at any point and they have a safety feature to stop them if there is something in the way. We have now used them about a month. I dont like themI LOVE THEM!!!
What a change from pulling those old stringed aluminum shades up and down, getting the strings tangled, and having the support hooks fall off! Now I press a couple of buttons and very quietly, these beautiful shades immediately respond. What a difference! Aron and his associate Van were professional and personable, easy to talk to. If I experience any problem, I would feel comfortable giving them a call for help.
Today I did check to see if the shades needed to be charged (they come with an LED charging wand that is super easy to use) and they were still nearly fully charged.
When the time comes for replacing the blinds in the north windows, I know who I will call. I am very happy with the shades and service bought from Budget Blinds.

Aron and Van were wonderful to work with! They came out quickly, were very helpful in helping us pick out the best options for our needs and called early to install! Made a daunting process super easy and had installation done for 15 windows under 2 hours! We love our new blinds I highly recommend!!

The 2 men were polite and did a great job of removing my old blinds and installing new blinds. They cleaned areas and explained the operation.
