DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. Terrible people doing terrible business.

Needed simple faucet/valves replacement-took the chrome faucet off and replaced with a $13 plastic one. Recommended flushing lines which were not necessary-charged over $300 and never returned to finish the job.
Called to ask for an itemized bill and had to leave a message. Finally got a call back to our answering machine and was astonished at the owner’s language and horrible treatment. Saved the VM for the authorities. Tried calling business again and was told “we just closed our business and moving out of state-we don’t care about your complaint”.
Hopefully they really are moving!!!

Super quick response when my AC went out. I was able to have everything completely fixed (including replacing my heat unit as well) within a few days where I would have been looking at weeks with another company. They made sure everything was done correctly and went above and beyond to ensure it was perfect. Never once tried to sell me more than I needed which I really appreciate. Recommended 100%.

Monday, 7/20, we called Hodges HVAC. Owner Susan returned the call. Friendly, courteous, and prompt service. Thermo set as low as 45 and house just a little cool, with inside temperatures between 80-85.
Owner technician Damien and employee, Justin came out later same day. Asked them to put on masks due to COVID-19, as we were visiting Elderly relative. Damien looked at thermostat inside then proceeded to AC unit in back yard.
After inspecting, Damien said it needed R-22 freon. They left to get some and returned. Shortly after, Justin then came to the door and said it needed another compressor and more copper pipes, and that they could NOT put more freon in; and Damien said that the previous HVAC ppl put too much freon in the unit causing it to go bad and suggested we buy a new unit. They presented us with our bill for $55.00 for the service call.
I spoke with Susan that day again to inquire about costs of AC units. She said she would email me estimate by the end of the work day. I checked with Susan again the next day and was informed verbally that a unit could cost about $2800.00.
Since the receipt showed that the unit "needs new compressor," my wife got on the phone and began to ask Susan if the compressor could be repaired. My wife recalls Susan saying "my husband doesn't want to fix it" (perhaps because he thought it was unrepairable).
Susan's voice appeared to change and she sounded flustered, huffy, and eager to get off the phone. Susan began talking over my wife saying 2 or 3 times "get a 2nd estimate, get a 2nd estimate" and then hung up quickly.
Now, here is the surprising details, the irony of the matter. We got a 2nd estimate. The unit is still in GOOD condition, the compressor is Perfectly FINE, and all the unit needed was R22 freon because the unit was EMPTY of freon. The house is getting very cold now, and did NOT need to replace the unit.
Hence, we were very Disappointed with Damien and Susan of Hodges HVAC. It is apparent that Damien was DISHONEST and outright LIED to us, with apparent efforts to MISLEAD us into buying a new AC unit.
However, to give Damien the benefit of the doubt, which I really want to do; that Damien is not dishonest and did not attempt to mislead us, then it leads me to think and say that Damien just doesn't know his HVAC very well.
