The actual apartments are clean and as depicted on the website — besides some websites claiming there is an elevator. The management company is entirely a different story. The ones who reply back are incompetent, but at least they reply, others do not respond to emails, calls or even maintenance inquiries. There is no form of management at this place besides getting you to sign a lease and make sure payments are made timely, even that is through an app, that only can be paid through certain banks.
Overall I like my apartment, it’s efficient and gives me enough space with nice design qualities. However, there is no dishwasher, elevator or property manager. I was able to negotiate a free parking spot and got two months rent free as promoted - which helped me make my decision as a first timer in Chicago. However, I would not rent again with this company simply due to their lack of communication and service. There are no amenities in my building and no explanation as to how to use the other flats communities facilities as promised, no one answers any questions and when I called the emergency maintenance number from the leasing contract — I was asked how I got this number and that low battery on smoke detector (that beeped every minute very loud and announced low battery in a Siri like voice) and thermometer batteries were not emergencies and I would have to wait until Monday and put in a request on the app. Come Monday the request was miraculously deleted off the app and no communication was made after that. $1900 for a one bedroom in Chicago can get you pretty far depending on where you live, amenities offered, etc — this company fools you into thinking it’s great and gives you free parking/months to lure you into a contract. I’ve lived in over 10 apartments across 3 different states and have never experienced such awful communication, organization and ignorance.
