Michael consistently goes above and beyond to make sure the selling process goes through smoothly. Highly recommended based on selling several properties with him.

Michael was wonderful to work with. He did an amazing job helping me find a new apartment and was on top of everything. He will walk you through step by step. I could count on him from the first time I saw my new place until the day I got my keys. He keeps you updated on progress and is always there to answer questions. I would definitely work with Michael in the future!

Michael Rissman was very knowledgeable and professional with our home search. As first time home buyers from out of town, he made the process very easy for us. All we did was search for properties we were interested in, and he made the appropriate arrangements and had an agenda for us when we arrived. His experience also helped us to avoid potential problems with homes including special assessments, security and construction. Overall, we were very comfortable with his judgement and would not hesitate to have him as our agent in the future.

Michael Rissman is an outstanding broker. As a millennial, I myself am a very distrusting person (especially when I don't believe there's a solid motive for people to always do things in your benefit e.g. real estate), but I think it adds to the compliment: it means a lot when someone has earned my trust. I've been working with him for the past few months now, and he's been relentless with my search for a solid crib. When we first started the search, his presentation was strong (prepared, more than I even was, go figure). The search has been long and hard, but he takes his time to educate you on some very important topics and definitely does his job well. Nobody wants to pay for specials or assessments on low reserves. He doe NOT push you, but he does have the calculated cojones and objectivity to tell you when a deal is NOT GOOD or GOOD, or when a seller is being silly or unreasonable. An agent without an smart opinion and a head between his shoulders is no different than MLS itself. Key takeaway: an agent with an *accurate* opinion is useful. Which leads me to my next point... His market value assessment is on point, as I've learned the hard way. I particularly am a fan of his CMAs, and he's one of the only agents I've worked with that essentially provides you with the raw data on his CMAs. You can literally port all of this into excel and look at the unit spread, average sales and list prices, etc. This is crucial as a buyer, because then you can discuss and compare value (or i guess in this case, devalue) propositions on certain aspects of the apartment like exposure, lighting, vanities, ridiculous color or paint taste, against other apartments. This info then can feed into your initial offer, the rationale behind counter offers, flooring (credit), etc. As a first time homebuyer, this is ESSENTIAL. His eyes were priceless to have on our walk-thrus. Michael is always willing to pick up the phone at reasonable hours and cater to your busy work schedule. While I haven't closed yet on any offers, and will certainly update this review later just for final impressions, I am confident Michael will do his best to get the strongest deal for me. Best of Luck in your search (for a good agent), 14MAR2017
