Wasn’t told my apartment was handicap accessible so everything is set really low. Street parking is limited with an elusive waitlist for indoor parking. Walls are thin from all sides. Come holiday season, you will hear everyone’s dinner and late night parties. Usually apartments have issues with hot water, it’s the opposite here. Can never get cold water. Odd for a brand new building. Shower door constantly slides open. I use tape to keep it in place. All the new appliances are great. No counter prep space if you’re a cook. Bathroom and bedroom are spacious. It’s all about budget and what you need, right? The residents who were able to snag a unit with street view or a deck seem to be happy. I opted to save some money and stare at the junkyard and cellular tower. The company managing the building are truly nice people so don’t hold the poor layout against them. Seems as though they’re a touch understaffed. Ultimately, I’m moving for more space, balcony, parking, and gym down the street. I’m also over the rodent issue from the auto junkyard behind the building. It’s owned by the repair shop next door. The rats come in and out at night through the bottom of the deplorable wooden fences. Why the junkyards haven’t been condemned by the city is beyond me.

Our apartment at The Ainslie is spacious, comfortable and in a perfect location in Andersonville. That said, one of the best things about renting at the Ainslie is its management team. Scott and Jackie are incredibly responsive, transparent and constantly looking for ways to make the building even more comfortable for its tenants. So often management can make or break one’s experience living in a building. In this case, be confident that Scott and Jackie will go above and beyond for you.

Wouldn’t recommend living here. The shower doesn’t drain properly (water sits stagnant in the area unless you brush it down the drain, which eventually lead to sewer flies in my bathroom regardless of me keeping the area dry), the shower door leaks, the dishwasher is very small and doesn’t work well (the rack disconnects often and the latch for dishwasher soap does not open, I had to pour soap directly over my dishes if I wanted them to be cleaned), counter space is VERY limited in the kitchen (I’ve had to do most of my food prepping and dish-drying on top of the stove, that’s how limited space is), the walls are VERY thin (you can constantly hear your neighbors, both side neighbors and upstairs/downstairs neighbors), there is virtually no street parking (I tried asking for MONTHS for a spot in the garage and was constantly told there were none available, even after being put on the ever-elusive “waitlist”), and the hot/cold water in each of the sinks have issues. I was also not informed when I moved in that I would be renting a handicap-accessible apartment, so everything is very low. The package lockers (installed only after packages were frequently stolen, as our package drop-off area was a bookshelf right next to the front door) help, but delivery companies seldom use them properly. Also, when I moved in, there was leftover/extra boxes of towel rack equipment stowed in my kitchen. I called management, nobody came to pick it up after a week, so I just tossed it in the hallway. It seems as if this place was just thrown together without much thought.
