BUDGET WAS NEVER AN ISSUE. He waited 2.5 years to reply lol.... I had Chris out to give a quote for refinishing our floor in a commercial building. I sent him pictures of our current floor and pictures of what I wanted the floor to look like. Chris came out prior to any work being started on the property and assured me the project could be done. At no point did he explain his work should be completed prior to any finish work. After the framing and paint was completed I gave him a call to get the work done. Again he did not inform me his equipment would create a vast amount of dust. The machines they used through concrete dust all over the building so we have to repaint it. Chris responded that he advised me this was possible when in fact he had not. There are also large visible cracks in the floor that he says were not included in the repair price. Not only do the floors not look like what I asked for or the provided photo's, but he did not want to take responsibility for us having to repaint. At no time did he advise this was possible, despite visiting the property on 2 separate occasions. His crew made a half-hearted attempt to wipe the dust off which only made the walls look worse. I wish I could post before, after, and pictures of the floor I gave him in this review. He then stated he informed me in the contract, but we never signed a contract which is both of our fault. So I am left with a floor that looks okay... and a paint job that has to be completed again. I tried to reason with him and his response was "do not contact me until you pay me and I am taking you to court". I am in the service business and I realize if we do not quote a job correctly we still have to give the customer what they want. There is nothing wrong with taking a 2nd look prior to completing a quote, therefore you and the customer know what to expect. Proceed with caution and get his contract up front. I wish my floors looked like the pictures above, but I ended up with a garage resurfacing job. Instead of quoting what I wanted, he quoted what he thought I would spend. So when the question comes up "Who did the floors?" It won't be because someone is looking for a referral.

Please do not use this company. I had them do stamped concrete at two of my hotels driveways. Rushed work, faulty equipment, non responsive management once money was received. My concrete is in horrible shape and will have to be redone. Chris and Jake stopped replying to my calls once they finished the job and got my money. The condition of the concrete currently is very bad. I will likely have to spend a couple hundred dollars to have it fixed by a professional company which these guys try to make themselves look like.

In short I would NOT recommend Chicago Decorative Concrete. Chris came out and I showed him the floor in the office NEXT door and asked if they could do the same. A simple concrete overlay with minimal natural texture. Here is what transpired next.
Floor #1- Day one none of the equipment was working (grinder and vacuum). the job was to be 3.5 days and already would be 2 days over due. The 1st floor had lots of "fan" pattern texture. Clearly Chris had not told Jake and the team what I wanted. 20ft away was a whole office with what I was wanting. ** Not listening to customer wants/needs
Floor #2- Jake was nice and agreed with Chris to redo the floor using a different material. This batch was "bad" and was overstock from another job. Fair enough, they have to buy minimum amounts. They agreed to redo it a third time. ** Poor material management.
Floor #3- Floor was better but had HUGE swirl marks and major color contrast issues in 3-4 areas. Basically the whole floor was grey and in 4 spots there was dark grey swirls and drips. At this point I was fine to let it go. Not what I really wanted, but was willing to move on. ** Was not honest about what they can actually do.
The breaking point issue was with the clear top coat. Jake and crew put down the clear coat and I paid the remainder thinking all would be ok. Jake agreed on a discounted price as the job took weeks to finish instead of the agreed upon 3-4 days. ** DO NOT pay until the final coat is FULLY DRY!
However, the top coat dried with white spots and roller marks all over. I called/text to tell them how it dried and that it did not look like anything we agreed upon. In short, after another couple of weeks going back and forth they said I had to pay the FULL amount if I wanted them to come back out and redo the top coat as per our agreement. ** At the end of the day they DO NOT CARE about their customers if the cost of THEIR mistakes are too high. My time and inconvenience was of no concern.
Crappy Co. Crappy materials and just a bad Co. to deal with.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They were hired to do a 1600 sq. ft. driveway for my home. First they attempted to perform the work without being registered through the village of New Lenox. I found this out when I went to go get the permit! 8 months after installation. I have 70 locations (and counting) (holes/flaking/scaling) throughout my driveway, ½” to ¾” deep, ranging from ½” to 4” in width. They rushed the job from the beginning. The concrete delivery was over 2 hours late. Rather than turn the truck away. they proceeded to try and complete a 1600 sq. ft. stamped and dyed driveway in less that a 2 hour window! They were performing this work into the night hours with no light! There are areas all over where the stamping was not fully set, or stepped on because they could not see! I now have a dark stripe down the middle of my driveway that has been there since the day it was completed. I also now have sealer failure. It is affecting the overall driveway color and there are marks everywhere from the roller application. They do not return phone calls. After multiple attempts to contact a appointment was scheduled to come to my home. No show for the appointment. No call. I will eventually have my day in court.
I guess that poor excuse for a response also addresses the fact that you cannot return ANY phone calls, and when you set up appointments to come to the house, after agreeing to apply a test patch to repair the 70 plus damaged locations, you don't show up, and don't even have the decency to call.
As for the concrete. I was not claiming it was 2 hours old. The job was supposed to begin at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. Because the delivery was late the color dusting and stamping process did not begin until 6:15 pm. The sun set at 8:00 pm that day. So the color imperfections were due to you performing work on stamped and dyed concrete in limited sunlight. There was no way you were going to pour, set, dust, and stamp the first 1300-1400 sq ft in less than 2 hours. So the surface blemishes are NOT due to adverse weather conditions, as you claim, they are due to poor management. I can provide you with time stamped pictures of your crew beginning the process at 6:17 pm at the very top of my driveway. Proving that the work was rushed due to limited light.

This is a horrible company. Horrible work, unfinished work, and will not fix. They take your money and run. Never use them. I have an elite crete overlay around my pool that is now an ice skating rink. I had to hire another company to fix as they will not return any calls. They will see me in court!
