image This goes out to anyone who complained about "Wallace" being totally out of control concerning the store staff, restaurant staff and people in general not wearing the "protective masks" urged by the pandemic. At the time you made your visit, Shoshone Country was one of the least infected at that time and since then most of the people who are around other people, residents or tourists do wear masks when in public. In this part of the country, we still had the choice to wear the mask and take the vaccination when available. Some of the individuals who live here didn't agree with the government that the problem was as bad as has gotten.since your visit and most people to comply with the urging to wear the mask in public so your complaint doesn't really apply because you really didn't do your homework prior to posting your complaint. Were you wearing a mask during your visit? Was the "distancing" being applied while you were conversing with anyone not wearing a mask? You do know that most of the cases of this infection most likely was brought in by tourists such as yourself so maybe it's them you should be scolding, not the town of Wallace. Most people have an enjoyable stay whether they confront anyone not wearing a mask or wearing it and most of the store owners do practice the "distancing" as well as wearing the mask when in the public so I'm not sure what you would be complaining about now? Most of the "reviews' I've read here are very positive and most of e visitors enjoyed their stay in our little town and that's because most of the residents and store owners go out of their way to make your stay in our town a memorable one. Thank you for visiting us and I hope you return some day so you can see for yourself just how important the people of our town want to make your visit and memories good ones. I hope you read this and hope you do return some day and not have to be confronted with something that you think of negatively.

image A cool tourist town... But as of Sept. 25, 2020, my short visit revealed a total lack of masking and social distancing. (over 500 new Idaho Covid cases a day at this writing...including in the Panhandle). Recommend avoiding Wallace Idaho, until the Pandemic is over.
