ADT is a mixed bag. Sometimes they remind me of other giant companies and treat me horribly. Other times, they surprise me with how good they can be for such a large company. So far, in my 3rd year of service with them, they've mostly treated me pretty well. They tried to do something that went against the contract I have with them, I called them about it, and they apologized and reverted their decision. Not bad. I had trouble with a doorbell camera (even being pretty tech savvy), and although I had to teach their over-the-phone tech support how to go through the steps properly, she was able to--after an hour of overly basic troubleshooting that I had already done several times--finally fill me in on the key detail I had been missing. So, not great. Had I not been tech savvy, I would have never reached my resolution. However, also not terrible. Anyway, for all their efforts and for continuing to be as customer-focused as they can be for their size, I'm going to leave this at 4 stars. :^)

Terrible costumer service, the person I talked to could barley speak English, and was not helpful at all. No wonder that Ring and Simply Safe are so popular now. I cannot wait until we launch ADT

Technician left with 1 camera working and 1 not working. It has been a struggle to get someone to come back to address the 1 camera that wasn't working. A technician was supposed to come yesterday from 4-6 pm and didn't show.. I called to ask about it only to find out the appointment was cancelled by the IT Manager with no communication to me. Supposedly someone is coming out again tomorrow from 4-6 but I'll believe it when I see it

I will not recommend their service to ANYONE!
The only good part of their service was the salesperson who is a genuine and honest one. The second time I had problems with technical support, I could not get hold of anyone via phone or app support portal. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and no one got back to me via the app for two weeks. For a security service company, this should be a red flag right away.
The cancellation process was a nightmare after talking to multiple people, including a manager so we decided to swallow the pride and stick with them until the contract ends, but the free trip they scheduled for me ended up being not free.
Their device showed batter full when the batter was installed incorrectly but the technician told me that it should have shown different color if battery is drained. Who knows?
For a big company, they couldnt have done a worse job to keep their services user friendly and efficient.
DO NOT SIGN UP! Just buy some home security system and manage yourself.
