We order papaya and pineapple and it had 3 slice of papaya and 6 pineapple slices value $12. Considering these are native fruits consider lowering or adding more slices.

Very rude waiter after my husband accidentally knocked over an iced tea and red wine (on waiter’s tray). Nothing was broken but all the liquid spilled to the floor and the waiter never came back to clean it up, saying he had to “clean himself up first.” This will be our last visit to Nanea.

My husband and I didn’t make reservations for Christmas Day in Kauai. We called several places and most were full even for bar seating. We landed here and got bar seating. As it was a holiday, there was only an option for a fixed menu. We were a bit nervous getting a fixed menu but it was outstanding. Additionally, the cocktails were tasty and the service was excellent especially given how packed the restaurant was

DO NOT COME HERE !!!!!!! Tiny portions and extremely long wait. As someone who works in the business, this place is atrocious!!!!! Reservation was at 6:15 and we waited 2 hours for the first course and it was labeled as steak and eggs and what a surprise ..... it was raw beef and Japanese cold egg paste. Did the menu say this? NOOOOOO!!! I’m writing this review while we are waiting for our last course and I cannot, I stress, cannot wait to get out of here !!!!!!! I’m furious ! We came to Hawaii for Christmas and what they don’t tell you is that everywhere is closed on Christmas so bring groceries people or you WILL STARVE!!!! DO NOT COME HERE

I went to Nanea for lunch on a slow Saturday afternoon and ordered fish tacos and a mai tai at 12:41. Its now 1:43 and i completed my meal about a half hour ago that was over seasoned and not the best on the island and have not seen the waiter. Its raining so the pool is not over populated. When the waiter returned he brought the check without asking if i needed anything else. When i asked for another cocktail he wasnt pleased and said ill have to get it from the bar. That took an additional 20 minutes. The couple behind me is experiencing a similar situation from a different waiter. They ordered drinks they never got and finally someone else came and took their drink order. So there are plenty of places I would recommend to go for lunch other than Nanea
