My wife and I had our honeymoon vacation here, it was her 30th birthday as well. So it was a big trip for us, with high expectations. I would like to start it off by saying that the location of the resort is incredible. Beautiful views, sunsets every night, with a beautiful beach. Views from the rooms were incredible as well. However, the service was pretty terrible. Everyone at the resort, concierge, front desk, everyone knew it was our honeymoon and birthday celebration trip, I made it a priority to let them know that this was a special trip for us and were very excited to spend it there. When we arrived, we were expecting to be greeted like it was our honeymoon, instead there was no mention of it what so ever. We dont expect to be treated like royalty by any means, but everyone wants to feel a tad special on such a special trip. No cards in the room, anything on the bed to signify its our honeymoon, not even a happy honeymoon. There is a discount Marriott card that you can get but the front desk does not tell you about it. Instead there is a piece of paper in your room that tells you, and if you miss it then youll never know. It gets you discounts on dinners and store purchases as well as many other perks at other resort restaurants. We did not know until we saw the paper 3 days in. I will say they were kind enough to add the discounts to those dinners we had the first 3 nights to make up for it. Now onto the restaurants. The service for the beach/pool bar and grill was terrible. I know that they seemed to be short staffed, but for what we are paying for this resort as well as the food, the service needs to be there. If youre short staffed, there needs to be a solution to the extensive wait times. The food at the bar and grill was okay, but not for the price point. A Caeser salad with chicken is $30 and certainly not worth that price point. We had our final dinner at Meridia which was a lovely view, however the service again was terrible. This time, it was not a short staff issue because the tables next to us who had a different waiter got better service. The table next to us was sat about 5-10 min after us and was given their bread, drinks, and dinners before us. We did not see our waiter much and when we did, we made sure to put an order in since we knew we wouldnt see her for some time. Now onto the beach. The beach is wonderful, amazing views, and the water is second to none. However, the beach chairs are terrible. They had brown stains all over them and were quite old and uncomfortable. Only half the beach chairs had an umbrella. With the island sun, and the price point of this resort, every set of chairs should have an umbrella. Overall, we were not impressed with the treatment of the guests especially the guests celebrating something huge in their life. When we were in Thailand, we watched couples on their honeymoon get waited on with such great service and were hoping by paying nearly double what we did there, we would get great service too. We were just disappointed with how expensive it was for such bad service. Would most likely stay elsewhere next time.

Right next to the beach. Loved my room and enjoyed the hotel restaurants
Rooms: There were some dead roaches in and outside the room but other than that, it had a nice view and also plenty of space in the room
Safety: Had a beach flag thing so guests and other people know how safe the waters are

We got an ocean view room that was breathtaking! Best resort ever. Its super quiet and calm.
Nearby activities: There isnt a lot of places around the resort but you can find almost everything inside. Need to have a car if you want to explore the area.
