This place is great.  A lovely place to stay in a nice and serene location. The breakfast is really good, with fresh homemade pastries.  The macnut scones were the best ever.   Living space is nice in the Blue Ginger room, with good views of the yard. The Hawaiian room is a bit smaller but good for one or two. The reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars were because I was there on business and the internet connection is slow. The location is not close to all the work I was doing.  But location is great for tourist, its very close to Rainbow falls and is away from the hustle and bustle of Hilo. I would definetly reccomend this place to any vacationers, its a very good find.

Run by my lovely grandparents, John & Charlotte (ok, they're not really my grandparents, but I'd choose them if I could).  They rent two rooms out of their home - which is nestled in the suburban hills of Hilo.  Their spacious home and lot is quiet and homey.  Our Hawaiian Tropical Suite ($80) had it's own private bath and door to the enjoining common area (kitchen, seating area).  We had a Santa lava lamp night light in our bathroom (woo hoo!).  They made us feel welcome (as did their cute kitty, too). It's not the Ritz and might feel/smell a tad musty (that means lived in and comfy, right?), but they gave us cookies and hugs, so what's not to love?
