I booked 2 rooms (king bed with a sofa bed) for my family of 7 for March 15-17. My family came to Thomasville to attend a memorial service for my husband's grandmother. We knew that there wasn't a whole lot to do in Thomasville so I picked this hotel because it offered an indoor pool. I figured this would be something great for the kids to do instead of being cooped up in the hotel room all day. Imagine my kids disappointment when we found out the pool was closed due to maintenance issues. I probably should have read the reviews because it appears that it has been closed for some time. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were a little dated but clean. The bed didn't have any thing on it but a very light blanket and a sheet. The sofa beds that I needed to utilize for my children had no bedding. I had to locate a maid to bring me some. When the maid did bring the bedding, he only brought 1 extra pillow. I had 2 kids on each sofa bed. Once we got that taken care of and it was shower time, we realized each room only had 2 towels and 2 washcloths in them. I then had to go back downstairs and get some more. I just thought when I told the hotel how many people were coming, that the rooms would have been stocked for such. I'm only giving 2 stars because the staff was very friendly and the hotel seemed to be in a safe area.

If you are okay with some of the lowest customer service that you may ever experience from a business than you may be okay staying here. I reserved my room for 3 nights through a third party vendor and paid in full. Upon arriving at the hotel there was signage indicating the indoor pool was closed. This we disheartening as we chose this hotel (of only two in area) because it had an indoor pool. But as I explained my disappointment to the clerk at the front desk for check in that I had paid for a jetted tub room so I at least could enjoy that. The clerk spoke up and said "oh did my manager not call you this afternoon." I thought this is odd and asked why her manager would call me. She indicated that the hotel has no jetted tub rooms as indicated on their site and third party sites. Since the price I paid clearly reflected a fair nightly cost for such an upgraded room I was surprised that this was the excuse for me not having a room upon arrival at the hotel. The clerk said they only had double bed accessible rooms and she would put me in that room. I informed her that was not an option unless I would be refunded the difference between the upgraded room I booked and paid for versus the lower room classification she was offering. At this point she advised me I had not paid for my original room so there was not refund process. I indicated this was not the case and as I was attempting to bring up my paid receipt the clerk said she had misspoke and there were actually no rooms available for the night. At this point I left and contacted the 3rd party vendor I made my reservation through. The representative contacted the hotel and notified me that they would be providing a refund and an inconvenience fee since it was clear most hotels in the area were at maximum capacity and I may find myself sleeping in the car that night. The 3rd party vendor went out of their way to make everything right and did eventually find a hotel and room for us to stay the weekend. Apparently according to the hotel we did stay at, the Best Western Plus Thomasville GA is famous for re-selling rooms that are paid and guaranteed by third party vendors, leaving those occupants who booked through the third party out in the street. Since I will be traveling fairly often to this area in the near future I am glad I really experienced this lack of customer service and honestly sketchy business practice. I know no matter what the circumstances I would not ever stay at this location even if it meant sleeping in my car.
