Great little place to stay . Reminds me of days gone by. Just a small little place ,rooms with a nostalgic feel. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to the downtown area and places to eat .

They are very high for the quality of rooms. They do not tell the truth about how much they charge you. If you use your debit card, they overcharge you and charge a high dollar deposit. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all.

NOPE, GO TO THE BEST WESTERN A FEW MILES AWAY ITS WORTH IT!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ELLIJAY INN AT ALL TO ANYONE, EVER...NOT EVEN AN ENEMY! If it were possible to leave a review and LEAVE A NEGATIVE AMOUNT OF STARS this would be the place I'd do that for!! The old lady that was at the counter for check in has no business being in a position where she is allowed to interact with other humans! She even tried degrading and belittling me and my husband because she didn't know how to explain herself and made it sound like I hadn't paid already thru online reservation, she didnt even want to see the proof of it, just continued to tell me that I hadn't paid and that instead of the amount I had already paid online and had proof of, not only on the Expedia app but email and my credit card account info showing the payment of $97 had already been paid but she was trying to charge me $100 extra and when I tried showing her that I had proof and then tried telling me it was extra for a deposit but that was not what she initially said. She said it showed it had not been paid yet and that I had to pay the extra or no room. My husband tried explaining the situation again and became extremely frustrated that he told her nevermind we were cancelling the reservation and wanted our money back but then she said "Do u not speak English?!" Really woman, u really have the nerve to ask us if we speak English and she isn't even able to properly explain stuff to customers but gets I'll and nasty with the customers! On top of that she had some man in the back room fussing and raising heck at her and her back at him...not professional at all! I RECOMMEND U GOT JUST A FEW MILES UP THE ROAD AND SHARON AT THE BEST WESTERN ON THE HILL WILL BE EXTREMELY PROFFESSIONAL WITH YOU AND HAS A NICE AND PLEASING PERSONALITY PLUS ITS MUCH NICER AT THE BEST WESTERN TOO!
Noteworthy details: Old lady has a disgusting attitude and the driveway will tear the front end of ur car up!!

If you want just a bed for the night and a warm shower in the morning, you could save a couple bucks here. If you want to watch TV, have access to the internet, and almost get treated like a criminal on the run when you check in - then this is definitely the place to stay. The people that run this are the most unaccomidating people I have ever met, have no idea how they're in business. Rooms are tiny, beds are almost 4 feet off the ground. They have a wall heating/cooling unit that is so loud if you went through the trouble of signing up for an app to watch TV, you couldn't hear it without putting the volume to 100. They offered to move me to a different room on the other end of the building so I could have internet access so I could work after being there for over an hour. Had already given up. SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRIVATION THAT YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE ON ANY TRIP AND DON'T STAY HERE!
