Very affordable housing for students. Its very accessible to the surrounding areas. The staff is very knowledgeable & courteous.

I stayed at UVC for for 2 years and this place is AWFUL. Many students are tricked into thinking this is a great place due to the location and the payed reviews. My roomate/girlfriend was payed to say that place is "great!" but it was an actual nightmare. I will list down all the things that happened.
-- ROACH & GNAT INFESTATION
My girlfriend and I have suffered with the amount of roaches and gnats in our apartment. We are not messy people, we never had food sitting out or gross areas in the apartment. SOMEHOW, there would be roaches crawling around our kitchen and our living room in the night. I scared, disgusted and hated stepping into my on kitchen, I starved myself because of how many roaches I would see crawling on the floors and the walls.
Fun fact, they come from the outlets. Meaning that their are all in the walls. I tried calling maintenance many times, only once they came to spray the kitchen and that's it! They still kept coming out. The only way to avoid them is if get a luckily apartment that had no roaches or gnats.
Speaking of gnats, my girlfriend and I had to sleep underneath the blankets just to avoid GNATS. Gnats were EVERYWHERE, in your drink, in your food, in your bathroom, in your ears and so on. I most definitely ate one or two and didn't care because I was just so hungry and TIRED of these bugs.
My girlfriend and I tried our hardest cleaning out the gnats, everytime. The only thing that works is paying for gnat traps, but that takes a long time for them to go away.
PS They're supposed to do routine apartment check for bugs, they don't :)
-- UNCARING FOR ANYONE WHO HAS A MENTAL ILLNESS
I have PTSD, so loud banging noises will trigger me immediately. The neighbor above us was so nosy to the point that our apartment would be shaking whenever he bangs or stomps at 3AM. I would go into a episode every night, it was terrible.
I sent complaints towards the people above my home, but nothing helped. They past landlord charged them, but they still made to much noise.
-- IRRESPONSIBLE LANDLORDS
I have had 3 landlord in the past 2 years I stated at UVC. There was a time that we had no landlord and we all didn't know. Some people, who couldn't pay online rent, was not able to pay in person because no landlord was there. Let say a new landlord was hired, too bad though because they would just leave during open hours and NO ONE WOULD KNOW.
-- SAFETY
Gate has been broken ever since I arrived, I actually known friends who almost had a break in thanks to the gate being broke.
-- UVC WILL MAKE YOU PAY THE FULL AMOUNT EVEN THOUGH YOU DON'T LIVE THERE ANYMORE.
My girlfriend and I moved out because we could not take the treatment and hated this lifestyle. So, we created a new contract talking about our early termination. We stated that we only pay for past unpaid rent and leave because we are breaking our agreement with UVC. Our landlord was given person my one of the managers, signed the agreement and we moved out. Weeks later, they charged us a termination fee, which is basically future rent UVC wants us to pay for.
I have tried speaking the landlord and the landlord was very rude to us and doesn't even remember what they have signed. I emailed the managers and they basically told me that they didn't discuss the contract with my girlfriend and I, therefore we are forced to pay. YOU GAVE PERMISSION TO THE LANDLORD, YOUR OWN STAFF, TO SIGN OUR CONTRACT. WE HAVE ACTUAL EVIDENCE THROUGH PHOTOS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DECLINE ACTUAL PROOF.
How is poor communication with your own staff my fault?? I am paying for a future rent for a place I don't even live in anymore. I have been emailing them and trying my best to just only pay for past rent, THAT IS ALL.
In conclusion, UVC is a horrible place and I prefer if you to find a better apartment where staff actually cared about you. Never let anyone here walk all over you.

(Bare with me this is long, but worth it!)
Ive recently moved to this apartment in August of 2023. Upon first impressions it was not all what I expected In the worst ways. When me and my roommate first moved in the property was being managed by Amanda Hurst. She was disingenuous, impatient and rude.
At first it seems like she cared but upon interacting with her it was obvisou she didnt care for anyones safety when it came to the apartments. When we moved in our apartment was a partly a hazard. The circuit in the kitchen was faulty and they had previous e tenants complain about them being faulty but had not informed us upon moving inresulting in almost 2 fires and all she said to explain was that the building we were in was old, and left it at that. When it came to the apartment being cleaned, she explained that she was too busy and put a $50 credit for my rent which never went through and was never thoroughly documented. Amanda even went out of her way to remove the option to make a pest control complaint despite the copious amounts of roaches that infested the apartment. Ive even had friends who had been dealing with her for over a year and not a single time has she shown any interest in doing her job properly and left abruptly leaving everyone confused on why things werent being done.
With her leaving came a new Property Manager, Kona P. Kona has been the most helpful and thoughtful Property Manager I have ever met. She immediately went to work when it came to helping me and other tenants, wanting to establish some kind of connection with the residents and get us everything we have been needing, right away.
Mr. Smith who has been the new maintenance man had also came with Kona and has been amazing at his job. He managed to fix the circuit and get it to working condition and without it starting any fires, changed our filters and even helped us with most of our furniture.
Kona and Mr. Smith have been so genuine in trying to make these apartments livable and are continuing trying to fix Amandas mistakes although shes left them with so many. I believe they both will make a better impact on these apartments and I am happy to go ahead and say that living here will be so much better than what it was with Amanda.
