I couldn't have asked for a better first time home buying experience!! Joe was so helpful and patient with every question and request I had, no matter the day or time. I had a strict timeline and though seemingly impossible, Joe, Mercedes and his team were able to help me close earlier than anticipated. I can't thank them enough and am so grateful I had them through this process.

They were great!! Erik Miller was my agent, he communicated very well. He kept my husband and I in the loop every step of the way and always answered when we called, even after hours and on the weekends. If he didn't answer he always called right back!

I knew getting the loan I wanted would be tough since I am self employed, but Cameron Walters navigated me through all phases of the process well beyond what I would have expected from any mortgage lender, and acted positively on my behalf when the process met some very unexpected hurdles. Cameron was always available to answer any of my questions, even at odd hours, and was always prompt and thorough with his answers. Cameron and his team provided me with weekly updates on my loans status, and contacted me instantly if any additional information was needed. Thanks to Cameron and his team I was able to close on time and there were absolutely no surprises at closing! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cameron Walters to others.

Worst experience ever! I had been working with this company for over 3 months and got nowhere in my closing process, lack of communication, lack of consistency, and the manager is even worst, he does not respond to emails or phone calls. I seen so many red flags throughout my process but still wanted to give them a chance, being that I was a first time home buyer I assumed the process was suppose to move this slow, I was WRONG! . I moved my file to another company and they got me approved in 24 hrs, in underwriting in 48 hours and I close in less than 30 days. The communication at academy was awful. The only good thing I could say was the loan processor was fast, efficient, and on top of it( she is the reason I left 1 star), but everyone else I dealt with here, absolute NO!

Avoid Academy Mortgage Corporation at all costs. Anxiety, confusion, lack of communication, last minute emails right before processing deadlines and thousands of dollars lost due to pushing back closing dates due to Academy Mortgage missing deadlines. David Karamitros only sent automated emails to me. David Karamitros was the branch manager (whom is responsible for his reports as manager), the MLO was Erik Miller and the processor was Shawn Debord. They were extremely late processing my loan and I regret going with this lender. Being a finance manager, I was well aware of the home buying process and was proactive on gathering all the documents necessary ahead of time. Unfortunately their apologies after closing the deal, didn't fix the weeks of lost work, re-scheduling moving arrangements twice, and having to pay penalties for not moving in time. The cookies sent to me didn't pay for the thousands I lost either, but thanks. If you need proof of communication and emails, feel free to contact me.
