I just discovered that my dormant account with WorldPay that I haven't used it in 4 years) had been charged an escalating monthly fee that this year was $187/mo plus a near $200 auto-renewal fee! So, I have been soaked about $7000 over the past four years. Partially my fault -- but what horrendous increase in monthly fees. I am was led to believe they were the best, the least expensive, had the least hidden fees.

This company is criminal! I have two POS terminals but one merchant processing system. I batch out one time every day. Anyway, I validated my PCI compliance with the company but recently looked at my statement and discovered that I was being charged a PCI non compliance fee for my second terminal. Its the exact same system! Additionally, I am now being charged two minimum processing fees - again, because I have two terminals! Again, its the exact same system! I will leave this company immediately when my contract is up. They are crooks and should be imprisoned!

Entered into a 3 year "Guaranteed Rate" agreement with them and they breached the contract by adding an additional fee ("Monthly Security Encryption Package") for 14.99/month. This was a clear violation of our contract which stipulated no increase to, or addition of any new, fees during that 3 year period. The fee started 4 months after the signing of the contract, which we questioned but were told it was a 3rd party pass-thru fee which EVERYONE who processes credit cards, has to pay, no matter which processor you use. This is simply not true, and when we terminated for cause, we were hit with a $10000+ fee for Early Termination. WorldPay Platinum Customer Care, claims that it is a third party pass thru fee, but when I called the number, they answered with WorldPay PCI Compliance Dept. Even if they are contracted by WorldPay, it's still not a legitimate third party as Visa or Master Card would be. The biggest problem is they just don't care, and dare you to get an attorney. Prior to this"Guaranteed Rate" agreement, we signed in December of 2013, we had been a WorldPay customer for 9 years, with no issues and at that point, on a month to month contract. But, ever since Bain Capital bought them, the company has changed, and not in a good way. The customer service supervisor I spoke to (DelRoy McFarland), told me that he's not giving back the $10,624.08 fee, and he doesn't care if WorldPay breached the agreement or not. He then proceeded to tell me if I still wanted to pursue the matter, I would have to write a letter to their legal department, and he gave me a non-existent address of 1600 Morgan Falls Rd, Atlanta, GA 30350. There is no 1600 address, their address is 600, which we already knew. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and if you feel you have to terminate the contract for a breach by them, you would be well advised to change your bank account information before doing so, so they can't hit you for any early termination fees, because they will - it's Guaranteed.
