I want to be clear here... the food at Panera is usually consistent and good, however, they do rely a lot on their bread to fill you up .
The reason for my comment is not food quality, it is a suggestion to management. Your kitchen concept uses Turbo Chef microwave convection combination ovens. These ovens have a distinct (and strong) smell when they are not cleaned properly and regularly. It's basically a burnt grease smell similar to that of a hot deep fryer with old oil. Unfortunately, this smell permeates through the entire restaurant from top to bottom the moment you open the door it's all you can smell. I've looked behind the counter and can see that they are in fact dirty with a buildup of oil or grease on them. I would highly recommend that you have a contractor come out in deep clean them or do it yourself. I believe there is a filter on them too that needs to be replaced semi-annually.
It can be quite tedious to clean but needs to be done. I don't want to scare any other customers away, it does not necessarily affect the quality of the food but it certainly affects the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's a very strong and offensive grease smell that will only get worse until you deep clean them.

For a place that should be a goto for a quick lunch meeting or doing work while you eat, the wifi is atrocious. I had to use the nearby Starbucks' wifi WHILE SITTING IN PANTERA. Ugh.
