The company is punctual with great customer service over the phone. Unfortunately, the service person who was sent out didn't seem to know what he was doing and my ice maker is still broken after two visits.
The response makes no sense. He saw the ice build up in the freezer and dispenser between the first and second visit. In other words, he saw the unit failing and seemed to not know why or what to do. I'm not sure how waiting for it to "fail further" and more ice to accumulate would have helped. Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

The City Boys diagnosed one of the issues with a refrigerator, but were extremely rude to my tenant. They talked over her and would not acknowledge the issue she was telling them about. They also left the property without sending pictures or asking me whether they should move forward with the repair. Turns out they sent the pictures to the wrong number. Will not use these folks again, certainly not after the way they treated my tenant. I felt terrible.
Also, I left a message on a Thursday and never heard back. Had to call them again on Monday to get someone to call me back.
Response:
That is precisely the issue. The City Boys refused to acknowledge my tenant's complaint that the refrigerator door was not sealing properly. She told me that she could open the door with her pinky and every time she opened the freezer, the refrigerator door would pop open. The repair man kept talking over her, telling her that that was not an issue. I had to get a second repair person out to actually address the issue. Service: Refrigerator/freezer repair

At first everything was great. Called in got a tech to reach back out and come out same day for a service call. Was quoted a flat rate price and told a part was needed and paid half upfront and agreed to pay the rest after repair was complete. Tech changed the policy and wanted the total upfront before performing the repair due to some confusion that was cleared up. Overall communication isn't great. You call they don't answer and if they do its an operator that's transferring your message to a tech and you still have to wait for a callback. They are not available 24/7 as their website states. Policies/pricing are not clear on the website nor do they clearly state how their processes/pricing work like other repair companies. Techs are basically coming up with their own policies when they want to.
Edit based on owner's response:
I spoke with the tech and let him know I work from home and I would be in and out of zoom meetings and cannot come out to give him my payment but the person that lives with me would. I also explained that if it made him more comfortable I would step away and come out myself to make the payment once the repair was done. Never did I intend to have someone come out and not be paid.I was always at the location where he was sent (my home) to make sure he received payment. There was a miscommunication that was cleared up. Also I have never heard of a company that makes you pay in full for work that has not been done. That's why I declined the service. A deposit or half (which is what I paid) is understandable. Service: Washer/dryer repair
