If I could give zero stars, I would. After nearly 30 years of Joyce preparing my family's tax returns, she treated us exactly the same as others have reported - unprofessional, unresponsive and rude. I have been trying to reach her by phone and email for almost 7 months to confirm status of tax returns that she was supposed to have submitted in January. She keeps her voice mail "full" so she doesn't have to receive messages and never replies to emails. I finally sent a text message to her personal cell phone that I was coming to her office to collect my documents on a specific date and, lo and behold!, she had 8 sets of returns ready to go - except she would not give me the opportunity to review those (wanting to submit electronically immediately) and, in fact, became angry and frustrated at my questions before she snatched my reference doc out of my hand and ran it through the shredder! I left with all my personal documents and taxpayer copies of the returns she had completed - nothing that could be filed by me. As I was preparing to engage another accountant, my family began receiving communications from the IRS on the returns that she submitted without our knowledge or approval except, of course, the one year that had the largest refund expected! Curious why she chose not to submit this one out of 8 returns. Today, I received a FedEx delivery from her with a letter stating she was "disengaging" from providing "professional" services to me and my family "as of today's date" and that I owe her $960! You can imagine my shock at this behavior after a 30-year relationship! Bitter, cold woman. Stay away!

Unprofessional, unresponsive, rude, and lazy. I wouldn't waste another dime with her. You're better off doing your own taxes or going to a professional. She's compromised my information and of course, takes no responsibility for her actions. Though irrevocable, there's still the expectation that she'd try to locate my file. Overall, she's not a good person and an even worse CPA. Save yourself frustration, time, and money. Go elsewhere. Or you'll pay double to have someone else get the job done right!

Joyce is fantastic. She taught me how to make the most of my freelance artist money, and always saves me money. I'd never go to anyone else!

Worst experience ever. I was working remotely with Joyce since March of 2016 to submit my Federal Tax Return (foreign income). She was not prompt with her responses ever, I would have to send about 4-5 emails before she would respond, then she has asked more questions after which she would disappear again for about a month, or two. After further chasing from me, if I finally got a response 1-2 months later, she would ask more questions, then it was back to more follow-ups and chasers until I have heard back from Joyce. Several months in making, in November (that is 9 months of speaking on & off), she was supposed to finally submit my taxes to the IRS. But, same way as the entire process throughout the months, she would disappear again, only this time without submitting my taxes. I have sent several chasers and have never gotten a response to this day. It is now January 2017, my taxes were never submitted in 2016 and I now have to hire a new accountant to perform a single filling with the IRS. I have never in my life experienced service that was so unprofessional in dealing. Would not recommend this accountant.
