GreatFlorida Insurance - Ryan Borruso

Pretty blown away with how rude and short Yvonne was when I called her back after receiving a voicemail from her several weeks ago. She acted like I was inconveniencing her by returning her call, she actually told me she was too busy and was in the middle of something and would return me call in a few days - which wouldn't be a problem if she didn't have the attitude while saying this and rushing me off the phone. Weeks went by and she never contacted me via phone or email. Pretty astounding since the matter was urgent - my policy was set to renew in 4 weeks and I had received a letter saying I would be dropped if I didn't replace my 15 yr old roof before renewal. Yvonne told me my only option was to replace the roof otherwise I would never find coverage before she got off the phone with me. I was so turned off by the interaction with her (and also desperate to not have to replace a roof that my inspector said was in excellent shape) I shopped around and found a new broker. Now I'm actually paying less for more coverage than I had originally and the new company has taken the time to explain what everything on the declaration page means without me even asking any questions. And I was given several good insurance companies to choose from - so clearly Yvonne's claim that I had no choice but to replace the roof immediately was BS. Before my interaction with Yvonne, I had only ever spoken to someone at GreatFlorida once before. This is because they bought the book of business from the company I was with before and no interaction was needed. I had contacted them about a year and a half ago with questions about how installing solar panels on our roof would affect our insurance rates. I spoke with Keila and she took my info, contacted my insurance company, contacted me again for further information, spoke with the insurance company again, and got back to me with the answers I needed all within a couple of hours. She was so sweet, fast, and incredibly helpful. It's a shame GreatFlorida now has someone answering the phones that is willing to be rude, dismissive and unhelpful to someone they've never interacted with before.

Ryan was very helpful. He answered all my questions and reviewed every detail of the insurance policy with me. I liked that I did not feel any pressure to commit to anything. I was given the space to do my research.

Ryan makes the hassle of dealing with home/auto insurance very easy. I don't have to do anything, he does it all and finds me the best price! It's nice to have an agent looking out for me.
