I have been using this dry cleaner for 15 years. I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment regarding my most recent transaction. I took them an older BCBG dress that was a staple, black, classic dress with some beading. I could wear the dress to a cocktail party, a wedding, a funeral or a happy hour with the correct shoes and jewelry. I dropped off this dress to them October 14th for basic dry cleaning. I went to pick up a week later and the attendant- say " Oh- they didn't call you?" To which I said no. Unfortunately, they ruined my dress which was entrusted to their establishment. The whole front of the dress is ruined and the beads melted. They told me to call back the next day to speak to the manager. After much debate the owner said that they would not be able to reimburse me for any amount and offered no condolences. They did offer to contact the manufacturer of the dress. That was October 20th. Regrettably, until today- January 5th- no one has reached out to me. I finally called- to which they said, again, there is nothing that they can do; they followed the instructions of the manufacturer.
That dress was sentimental to me. Yes- it's a tangible article which can be replaced, but the sentimental value can not be replaced. It was worn to dates, holiday parties and funerals- ie the classic staple black dress. It is disheartening to note that this establishment, which i had regarded as a reliable service provider, has failed to take responsibility for the damage they caused. The damages incurred are undeniable, and despite my attempts to address the mater with their team, there has been an alarming lack of accountability, customer service, and compassion. The absence of any proactive approach to rectify this issues has left me with a distinct lack of confidence in their services.
Customer service is an integral aspect of any reputable business, and it is disconcerting to observe a significant deficit in this regard. The dismissive and unhelpful responses received during my attempts to seek compensation for the damaged dress highlight a concerning lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.
I believe it's imperative for business to value their customers and demonstrate a willingness to address and rectify errors promptly. Unfortunately, my experience with French Connection, Pompano, has left me with an impression that customer satisfaction is not a priority.
As a result of this unfortunate incident and the subsequent unsatisfactory handling of this matter- they have lost a customer. The loss of a valuable customer should underscore the importance of reevaluating customer service practices. I hope that this review will contribute to an improved experience for future patrons, but I will never refer any to this establishment.
