Jim is the read deal. He brings so much more to the table for me than just bookkeeping and tax services. Integrity is one word that comes to mind. Jim has presented me with very valuable advanced tax and wealth planning strategies that have made a very significant difference in my business and for my family. Hes also just an all around nice guy as well. As a self employed business owner, I am very selective about people that I partner with in key areas of my life. Jim has earned my trust and respect and I highly recommend him. The best proof of that is that I have referred friends and even clients to him. As with anything in life, you have to assume the main responsibility for your own actions and decisions regarding your taxes. If you are willing to do that and have a partner like Jim you are in great shape.

I used Jim Adkinson, CPA to do my tax return and received the worst service and professionalism I have ever received in my life. I have sent about 10 unanswered emails, 4 unreturned voicemails and was never able to get in touch with him regarding the status of our return. Its been 2.5 months since my original meeting with him where I provided him with all of the information needed to complete our return and we are still unsure as to wether a return was ever filed for us. He left me a voicemail a couple of weeks ago apologizing for the terrible communication and service and told me to call him back to get things squared away. Since that voicemail I have still been unable to get him on the phone and any emails that he does return are very short responses that do not answer my questions. I would never recommend using Jim Adkinson for any accounting services.

We started our business almost 3 years ago and to be quite honest, had absolutely no idea what we were doing. We figured the first thing we should do was find someone who could help us take care of the finances. We made one phone call and found Jim and his team. We met with them and knew instantly this was a group that would be able to help us and not kill us with added costs that as a new business, we neither needed nor could have afforded. Jim and his team are the perfect partners for us. We could not be happier. Once while meeting with Jim, I told him that I thought I had spend some money on marketing when I should not have and, I will never forget what Jim said, "Joe, that's the price of an education". While we would never want to make mistakes, having this ring in your ear when you are trying to make a decision somehow makes it easier. We realized we will not always get everything right but that's part of the learning and growing process. Our business has grown and Jim and his team have made that possible for us by taking the accounting stress off of us and letting us focus on the things we know. Thank you Jim and the entire Atkinson CPA team!
