Very clean room. Kind staff.

All in all, a standard, centrally located mid-range hotel. BUT: it was annoying that I had to wait a month for the security deposit (for no reason) to be refunded. And that was despite two written inquiries and a phone call. That really doesn't have to happen.

I don't mind paying more for a good hotel, but this isn't it. The hotel should atleast come with basic room service. The pictures of the pool are misleading its super small. And my nephew tripped and fell and hurt his wrist and broke his goggles. The tile around the pool looks like interior tile. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. I have already contacted guest services about it.
The customer service is a joke. Before booking I called and ask if there was a rollaway bed or crib like listed online and i put in comments when booking and was told yes. I get there and they didn't have any. I got to the room and there wasnt any comforters just thin top sheets and ask for extra blankets they said yes we have them, but I would have to come get them..Wild, but ok.... get back to the room, and they weren't blankets they were matresss pad covers with straps that attach to the bed... That's all they had. The pictures show towel animals on the bed and what appears to be a jetted tub ( my fault for assuming ) .... No towel animals and a basic tub. That's the whole reason I booked the suite at $320 plus tax for a night...
We will try another hotel company next week.
The beds and pillows were comfy. The bath soaps were nice. The tub water smelled like fish though it was weird.
The kitchen area was nice touch.

I have traveled for work several times over the past year and have stayed at a few different Holiday Inn Express locations. The one in Oldsmar is by far the best! Its extremely clean, Im blessed to have Daniel behind the front desk in the evenings. Daniel has gone above and beyond with anything Ive needed help with. I appreciate that he reminded me to sign up for rewards since this stay was so long, he also informed me of how I can use points earned at the digital shop for snacks and drinks. The location is top notch as well, being so close to a large number of great shops, restaurants and beaches.
