Willy's Hair Salon & Spa

I had to come back a year later to leave another five star review. Willy is *the best*. Super punctual, professional, and so talented. I always leave feeling like a queen by observing the other hair stylists' clients l could see they're also so good! The salon is spotless, the front desk staff member is professional and nice, I've always had great results with the after-care products they sell, l love the decor and the music. I've tried other places close to home but today I was reminded of how worth it is coming to Willy's is. I'll be back Services: Hairstyling, Shampoo & conditioning, Haircut

I am not sure about the hair service, but you DEFINITELY do NOT want to get your nails done there.  The girl that did my mani and pedi was so rough and cut me three different times while working on my feet.  She then proceeded to say "I bleed like a cow".  She left me to try to get out of the high spa pedicure chair on my own (did not bother lifting my armrest or getting my purse. Then again, she didn't even put on my flip flops... i had to shimmy over to the mail table with my wet toes painted" Then she proceeded to take off my gel nails (which she did not do correctly) and then instead of letting my nails soak in water, she used a nail drill (don't know the name) attachment and used it to literally burn off my cuticles.  She did this with the feet too.  I even had to ask her to turn the light on at her station so she can see what she was doing.  She ThEN wasn't even going to put a clear base coat prior to painting my nails.  Today, a day later, all my nails hurt and the paint has already chipped and I'm taking it off and doing it myself. Oh and my cuts on my toes are very sensitive and to the point I couldn't wear closed shoes today.  Oh yeah... to cut my toe nails... she used a cuticle cutter.   This is NOT going to be a repeat visit.

Michael & Terry are gems. 15 years ago, Terry gave my baby his first haircut for free, when she had her own salon. Then she did a great job on my hair. She understood my curls, because she has curls too. Then I wanted a different cut and she knew her husband Michael was excellent with the style I wanted, so she referred me to him. Michael is the BEST hairdresser I have ever had. I am 49 and I have long, soft (fine, not thick), loose curls. He blends long layers meticulously, guiding repeatedly from multiple angles, and his technique is flawless. On the rare occasions that he didn't quite get what I wanted, he modified it with no hesitation. He did a fantastic job on my husband and two teenage sons, who all have long-ish hair. He didn't cut off more than they wanted, or make it look too "pretty." And always for a very reasonable price. Michael is not greedy, even though his skills and talents deserve a higher rate. I am glad because I never would have tried them if they charged more, as I don't like paying $50 for a wash and cut. Also, I rarely had to wait; Michael is punctual. Now I have moved away from Miami, and I honestly wish I could drive there to have Michael cut my hair. If fact, I just may try to plan my next trim for my next trip to Miami from 5 hours away! 2021The review from Edward P is false. I was there and heard how terrible he acted with the staff. Willy the salon owner gently asked if he may go to another manicure chair and this human lashed out and started cursing and yelling. He called staff "faggot and "gay" and threatened to kill willy. I myself and other clients called the police immediately and as I yelled I was calling the police he left. Mind you he was with his young daughter and she was scared herself.Willy stayed calm throughout this occurrence and this man terrified and demeaned us all. Calling people gay and threatening them is illegal. This was all caught on camera and we all wrote a police report. Edward, it's 2021, people are cancelled from their lives and jobs for harassing, threatening, and discriminating people. Please beware of this human, I hope his daughter is in safe hands.
