I hadn’t been to the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel after about six years. Time has not been good to this hotel. It just looks and feels worn out. My room on the sixth floor (“remodeled club level”) was shabby, with cheap-looking furniture and an A/C unit that sounded like a locomotive and its definitely vintage controller needed to be set in the low 60s to try to keep the room cool. Sad that this is their “remodeled” room, and scary to think what the non-remodeled ones look like!
Check-in was uneventful, although the Marriott Bonvoy app did not work for this and I had to check in downstairs. Much to my surprise when arriving back in the room the next day, my bed was still unmade, and the room was as I had left it. Same on the second day. I called downstairs to ask what was going on, pressing the “Guest Service” button, only to have to call at least five times until a clearly disgruntled hotel employee picked up. When I began asking about housekeeping, he went off on a rant about having to wear a mask, even though he’s been vaccinated, while guests do not have to wear masks. I explained that was not my question, and repeated the housekeeping question. He stated that as per Marriott’s COVID-19 policies, there is no more housekeeping, and if I had any trash, to please leave it outside the room. I did some research, and it turns out that in a Sheraton, you may request to have housekeeping service, but he did not offer this option. The Bonvoy app clearly lists in the “Services” section for this reservation daily housekeeping. While I kind of understand that in the era of COVID-19 it may be safer to avoid housekeeping, it just comes off as a ploy by Marriott and its hotels to save money. Checking in their app, they do have a section that explains this, but also says you may request it, which the front desk person did not offer. It also says that every room has disinfectant wipes available. There were none in mine. This should all be spelled out in a printed card in the room, but I guess that would cost a few more cents than Marriott is willling to spring for.
Of course, there is no in-room dining. “For your safety”.
On par with the rest of the cheap motif, the pillows were the definition of "lumpy". Noise levels were high from other rooms.
For $180/night (plus parking; they charge for self parking in their huge parking lot!), you get an impersonal roadside motel experience, one I will try to avoid by not staying at this shabby, run-down location again.

This hotel was beautiful. The lobby gave an exclusive, luxurious feel. Don’t let appearances fool you, the room’s AC simply doesn’t work. I have set it up in 60 degrees in the morning and it’s 2 AM and still the room is 82 degrees.
If you want to be able to sleep and rest, DO NOT come to this hotel.
The staff is very friendly and nice but the AC system needs improvement.

A real old and gross hotel. In our first room our toilet ran constantly, the toilet even had pee left on the seat, the hotel is obviously old and they’ve tried to renovate some rooms and improve but it needs much more. Here are a few of the beautiful stains and shots from our room. If you enjoy the sound of a 747 taking off, their AC system will soothe you right to sleep.
We left to another hotel and that was the best decision of the night.

I did not pay for a motor lodge off the interstate but that's the quality I got. Starting with the shower that came half out the faucet and half out the shower head. The floor of the tub was wrapped to such an angle that I slipped several times. The refrigerator was turned off which I later discovered was most likely due to the door that catch on the outside cabinet making it seem closed. The "balcony" was about 2 feet wide(fine). The door to get out there was extremely hard to open and close, I work a blue collar job I am in good shape this should not have been a struggle. Once we got on the balcony I was greater with a previous guests soiled underwear. Add in the fact that there is only one elevator bank making every trip downstairs a long walk, or the fact that they charge for breakfast even though the rooms are close to $200. I could have gotten a clean cheap hotel for half the price.
