Be forewarned that this company does not check water shutoff valves for functionality.I learned this the hard way when a pipe bursted in my new home. It was then that I discovered that the valve that they photographed did not work, it was glued open by the contractor when it was installed.If their inspector has actually checked the valve to ascertain if it was operational, I could have avoided further water damage to my home.As i told the owner, Im not blaming them for the leak, but their incomplete report made a bad situation much worse. His explanation that they take photos of the valve to let the homeowner know its location is asinine.An analogy: The fire department comes out to inspect a fire alarm. They don't check to see if its working, but they take a photo to let you know its location. So, what happens when fire breaks out and you pull that alarm only to find out it doesn't work?I contacted the owner and asked him for a refund. He accused me of trying to blackmail him. Evidently, he's not aware that blackmail is a criminal offense and that by making such accusations hee is engaging in slander.I offered to sign a liability waiver freeing him from any responsibility for the water damage that occurred at my home if he would simply refund my money for an incomplete report.His response? He called me a liar and that the photograph they took showed no damage to the valve THAT WAS GLUE OPEN, INSIDE THE VALVE. Evidently he possess x-ray vision.I asked him to contact the plumber who had to come out and repair this valve to verify my claim, he refused.If you're looking for a company that stands by their work and is willing to make good for their lack of thoroughness , avoid this outfit.The owner has no character and is a demonstrable liar.Dr. Mike Palumbo Jr (retired)
