Caller was ignorant & hostile towards my wife, calling about a supposed outstanding balance of $150 from 10 years ago. Just bad customer service as these "bottom of the barrel scrapers" attempt to scam people.

This is a scam they called me saying I had an outstanding dept from 2012 for 90 some dollars and they were eager for me to pay so much so they were willing to give me a "discount" i refused to pay and hung up Then I called to the business i was priviously a member of inquiring about this "dept". They pulled up my account to see if I had any unpaid balance (which I do not) and they informed me they are not affiliated with this "collection agency" and never heard of them.

You people need to go read 15 USC 1692d (6). Proper identification of a debt collector is not "saying who you are". I can call anyone and say that I am anyone. None the less you have foreigners calling. With today's scams & fraud, do you honestly think I am giving you my personal information without knowing without a doubt who I am giving the information to? You must properly identify your self.

these people are scams. Do not give them any money. They sent a form letter to my elderly in-laws and when I called asking what company they owed money too they wouldn't give me their names. The form letter says they owe one amount but they would settle for another amount. Do not pay it!!! They got very nasty over the phone when I asked questions!
