We specifically asked the guy at the register if wed eventually be charged for the VIP program and he said No. which is a literal lie, after reading the slip it came with it says youll be charged monthly after the first month. These people will do anything to have you sign up, and even shouldve at least mentioned after we asked.

I went in to buy some candy; it was overpriced $2 more than other local stores. Sales person offered a discount through their rewards program. I asked explicitly if I would be charged anything, and was told no. Its an opt out auto renewal that charges like $12/month. Was also aggressive about signing me up for magazines which I said I dont want again asking about charges and being told false info. Had to waste a bunch of time canceling this and they wouldnt even let me via the 1800 number the first day so I had to call again and its annoying robo menu. Entered my member code and of course they still ask for it. Dont spend any money at FYE its overpriced and tries to supplement its inevitable demise through used car salesman tactics.

The customer service here is abysmal. The past several times that I've been at this location, the employees literally don't even acknowledge my presence with a greeting (even if there's more than one at the register as I walk in; in this case, they're usually too busy chatting with each other to acknowledge my presence as I walk by). Even if they saw me walk in. Today was particularly entertaining, since I went inside while there were no other customers present, and the only employee present in the store a skinny boy, wearing a hat was walking from the back area to the registers holding a box under his arm, going right down the center lane that I was walking down also. I made eye contact with him, he made eye contact with me, and then he fished his phone out of his pocket with his free hand to look at something on there as we walked straight past each other without him even attempting to crack his lips at me. He made zero attempts to engage me or even breathe in my direction, even when I was in his line of sight, and then made no attempt to say "bye" to me as I left... again, in his line of sight. If this level of utter, unprofessional dismissal is the kind of thing that flies as "customer service" at this store, it's honestly best to just spend your money elsewhere. That's not even considering how often I'll see long-expired food and drinks sitting on their shelves at full price (nearly every time that I've gone there and checked out the food/drink corner, this has been the case). What a joke, this location is.
