I took my vehicle in to Hinkles at 8:30 A M. I told him I think I need a spark plugs and coil packs. I wasn't sure. Larry the owner, said he would take a look at it and let me know.. He called me around 9:30 9:45.. He informed me, he ran a diagnostic test on it and the number 4 cylinder was misfiring.. He said his mechanic took off the number for coil pack and there was oil in the spark plug.. The cost would $659 to replace one spark plug one coil and a valve cover gasket (seal) I said I cannot afford that I will be in to pick my vehicle up. I got there and ask for my keys. He said it would be $96 for the diagnostic. WOW I paid him and went outside and waited for my keys.. he then came outside and informed me, there was a small problem.. Mind you this was at 10:00A.M.
He said his mechanic had a hard time taking off the coil and when he did he broke the water hose clip.. I said okay so what do we do.. he said he will fix it and have my car to me shortly. I didn't hear from him, so I called him at 4:30P.M. he said he had to order the part from Ford and he was paying for it.. I informed him it was unethical due to him not calling me all day and informing me of this.. he said he would have it fixed and have my car to me at 9:00 A.M. again I didn't hear from him and called him at 10:30 he said his mechanics didn't show up if I can get a ride to pick up my car! I said absolutely not. So he came and picked me up! No Apologies! Nothing! Long story short! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Hinklers Fleet & Auto!!!!!!

This may be the most unprofessional business Ive ever had the misfortune to deal with. They kept my husbands car for over a month for a simple repair. At no point did they have the courtesy to inform us that the wait would be that long. First they had to order a part. Then they had to order the tool they needed to install the part! Im not a mechanic but its my understanding that they generally own the tools you need to repair cars. The whole experience would have been funny if it had not cost us hundreds of dollars in car rental fees and the enormous inconvenience of being a busy family without a car. Go somewhere else if youre not in a position to send your car on a weeks long vacation.
