      image The Courtyard at Lakewood provides a safe, quiet and pleasant social environment, especially during meal hours. The staff and residents are friendly and there are many opportunities for community involvement and social interaction. The grounds are well maintained and I often see residents and people from the surrounding community enjoying outdoor activities such as walking dogs and jogging in the block surrounding the facility. After visiting several potential independent living communities in the area, I chose to live at the Courtyard since it was clearly the best value when comparing amenities and rental rates.
