Great experience start to finish. Customer service was out of this world. Special shout out to some of our favorite interactions:
Leewood, the concierge
Estela, food service attendant who cared for us every day, and went out of her way to make everything so special for us.
Anthony, hilarious and attentive waiter at shipwreck.
We stayed for 3 nights, and got treated to an upgrade due to status. The building makes you feel like youre in another time, while the rooms were beautiful and upgraded, still giving a clean and modern feel. Check-in attendants, room service, high tea, valet attendant (and we never even valeted - he was just always attentive and helpful when wed walk out looking lost as to which direction to walk), shipwreck service, check out, spa check in attendant - all experiences were had with excellent customer service.
The bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable, water pressure was good and temperature hot. Towels soft.
Housekeeping and the spa were probably the most disappointing, although everything else just set the bar so high that Im not complaining. The spa is old and needs updated; it is one service we could have lived without.
If youre looking for an experience that makes you feel like a queen/king, look no further!

I went for afternoon tea with friends. Spending time with friends was GREAT :). But, I have been to multiple places for afternoon tea and this was my least favorite. The tea almost had no flavor until about an hour into the tea. The sandwiches and pastries were mediocre. I was given silverware that had old food stuck to it. Multiple times the servers forgot to bring things we had asked for. Overall, it was overpriced and overhyped for what you get. I highly recommend you go somewhere else for a classic English afternoon tea.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. When we entered the bedroom the temperature of the bedroom was very hot. We tried to adjust the thermostat, and it was broken. We tried to call the front desk but the phone was broken. When we did get ahold of someone, a woman came and pulled off the face cover off the register and started to try to adjust the temperature. After that, the heating/ air-conditioning system made a loud constant noise. Which prevented us from getting a good night sleep.
There is no clock in the room.
The furniture is horribly uncomfortable and stained and dirty. It was like sitting in wooden boxes. This is completely unacceptable as guests get a suite so they can be comfortable. We were afraid to sit on the furniture, we didn't know what the stains were.
The hotel lobby is pretty and historic. We were disappointed that the restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.
We had tea the next day, and it was okay. I have been to better.
Very disappointing stay.
This was not a good stay at all.
Come on, Denver, you can do better!
