While I'm not sure anyone can have "fun" at the dentist's office, Retro was certainly the least awful dentist experience that I've had. The staff is attentive, knowledgable, and friendly. Special thanks to Connie, Heidy, and Dr. Arens for all their help.

I have been going to this dentist for over four years and have been impressed with the service throughout. I’ve cycled through a few different dentists here but they’ve all been attentive and kind. The true shining star of this office is Connie, the receptionist. She is simply amazing and puts a smile on my face every time I visit. Would recommend!

I went to Retro Dental for Invisalign, and was working with Dr. Kessler. I was told this would be an eight month process, ultimately lasting well over three years. Dr. Kessler moved to California, and Dr. Berson took his place. Dr. Berson then introduced me to Dr. Reid Lowther, who took over the office as primary dentist. Dr. Berson was still in the office part-time, but was in the process of leaving. After the incident (you’ll read below), Dr. Reid was no longer there. Dr. K took his place. I’m not certain he is even there anymore, as I’ve had to pursue an attorney…and two other names are now being mentioned.
My experience with Dr. Reid was never fulfilling. He gave me trays to wear in which I had previously already been given, which caused the process of straightening my teeth to take even longer. I had mentioned my level of discomfort to Connie (receptionist), and the way I felt about how he talked when I was in the office. It seemed he was always responding back to my questions in such a degrading way, and as if I was a waste of his time. I have all the emails saved in which I expressed my concerns. And then in a lengthy phone call with Connie, I was specifically told that they would not be scheduling me with him again...which they did.
When it was time to take the final invisalign "attachments" off my teeth, Dr. Reid shaved down a perfectly good front tooth. "Botched" is actually a better term. My questions as to why this took place were never answered. When discussing this with Heidi (hygienist), Connie (receptionist), and the newest dentist, Dr. K., all admitted to not knowing and or understanding why Dr. Reid did this.
Soon, Dr. Reid was no longer in the office. Dr. K took over as primary dentist. At that point, I was told I could pay to have that tooth bonded or a veneer put on that particular tooth to help look like it did (aesthetically correct). I questioned (again) why I'd have to pay to fix a tooth that was damaged by a dentist of Retro Dental...never getting an answer.
Regarding the tooth being bonded to look similar to the other, my biggest concern was color. I was very clear with this. The dental office was worried that the bonded tooth would be "too" white. So I was told to whiten my teeth, and then assured that it would match...I would just have to continue whitening my teeth to match the bonded tooth. I was okay with that. The tooth was bonded. Once finished, it was very obvious the tooth was not the same color at all - almost yellow. Not only that, but the texture was not close to my other teeth.
We gave it some time, and Dr. K gave me the option to take the bond off completely (back to the shaved down front tooth), re-bond a brighter color, or put a veneer on the one tooth. I opted to have it re-bonded to what I thought originally was going to be their brightest white. Never did they say they couldn't match my current teeth and that I should see a cosmetic dental specialist. The moment I looked in the mirror after the second bonding, I made it clear the tooth still did not match. But at that point, they had already told me it was their brightest white.
Exceeded word limit...see photo for the rest.

It may sound unlikely that visiting the dentist can be pleasant, but Retro Dental and the fantastic team that they have there really has made a huge difference. I'm very glad to have found such a welcoming and warm dental clinic.
