UPDATE: The community manager reached out to me after I wrote this review and apologized profusely for the lack of follow-up for the below issues and moved swiftly to get everything addressed in a timely manner. The maintenance team also called me with updates on the progress to all the fixes and to apologize for dropping the ball on follow ups. I'm very pleased with the fast response and overall professionalism compared to the response I got yesterday. Bumped my review up to 4 stars because of the effort and speed they put into making these corrections. Had to dock one star for having to put out this review in the first place to get an appropriate response. Thank you Juanita Nolasco Residences for doing the right thing, I'm happy we were able to resolve this quickly! I'm primarily leaving a one star review here for the lack of timely maintenance for two issues that frankly should not be taking this long and in hopes that this makes it to upper management as a wake up call. My grandmother lives on the top floor of the building (13th), where they were doing some roofing over the summertime (2020). The roofers made a mistake and punched a hole into her ceiling where a piece about the size of a fist fell only a feet or two away from where she sits when she's eating. Fortunately she was not harmed when this happened, but overall this should be an alarming event even if it wasn't directly the building's fault. I notified them the day it happened and even provided images that I've also attached to this review. The receptionist appeared horrified, as she should be because of the potential harm that could have happened to my grandmother, and said it would be fixed immediately. Well, their "fix" involved putting some tape over the hole rather than actually filling it, which can cause a host of problems and serves to highlight their overall laziness. I attached a photo of the "fix" with the tape over it from today. Her ceiling has remained this way for nearly HALF A YEAR at this point now that it's January 2021. The second issue: one of her electrical outlets went out in her apartment, we notified them of this problem and they sent maintenance to fix it. Unfortunately, in attempting to fix her outlet they took out the power to her entire apartment. They were professional when this happened and notified me immediately of the problem and promised to restore power ASAP which did happen. However, the original problem was not addressed and we were promised they would return to fix it later. An entire month since our initial outreach has passed with no response despite attempting to leave them messages throughout the last month. Another annoyance: no one ever seems to be around the office when we stop by outside of the lunch hours. We've left messages for maintenance based on the answering machine's redirection and still have not gotten any of the above addressed. The rare moments that I've seen the office "open," no one is actually at the front desk and it usually takes awhile for someone to appear even after ringing/calling out for help. Lastly, her garbage disposal stopped working. I gave them a call today to address the above issues and the new one with her disposal. Rather than be apologetic for the slow maintenance, i was instead met with a snappy attitude when I addressed my concerns. I was given a testy "you're welcome" on the phone after asking for these issues to be fixed. You're welcome for what? Not actually fixing anything for months at a time? Outside of that the residences are in a nice and quiet neighborhood and the apartments themselves are pretty nice I guess. Fair warning though, they may just forget about you like they did my grandmother. Unacceptable.

Juanita Nolasco Residences is quiet, safe, and very friendly to live in this building. They have a lot of activities. For example, a community room, books, board games, puzzles, movie day where you could watch a movie with your neighbors. They also have a few picnic tables at the back and the side of the building to chat with people or enjoy the sun. They also have an exercise room to keep healthy. Now for the staff and the few repairmen who work at Juanita Nolasco Residences. They are always friendly, very understanding, very efficient, and businesslike in solving any issue or questions you may have. Most of the people who work here are the best of the three buildings I have lived in since 2000. Even though I feel this area is pretty dull and things are not really close to walking distance. The only good note about this issue is. RTD #9 bus stop right outside of the building. This area is pretty safe to walk or walk to the park that is only a few blocks away. Like I said before my only beef is. You must own a car, like to take buses or really love to walk to get to places. I want to give my review of Juanita Nolasco Residences a solid 8.5 out of 10 and the area and safety a 7.5 out of 10.
