2800 Zuni

I have lived at 2828 Zuni for a little over a year and it is amazing what a decline I've seen even in that short period of time. Cardinal does not seem to prioritize safety for residents. Several female residents reported that the maintenance man had made inappropriate comments and made them feel uncomfortable and zero action was taken. He let himself into a resident's apartment and she found him walking out of her apartment and he wasn't removed from the property until 24 hours later when legal action was threatened. It was a reckless disregard for the safety and peace of mind of 2828 Zuni residents. After he was eventually fired, he was not replaced. We are paying a premium to live in a "luxury" building with no maintenance staff. The building looks easily 10+ years older than it is due to lack of maintenance. Walls in the hallway are dingy and look like they’ve never been repainted. Hallway carpets haven't been cleaned and are covered in stains. The building windows have not been cleaned on the outside at any point in the 14 months that I've lived here, so who knows how much longer it was before that since they were last cleaned. The furniture and décor in public spaces are very outdated. This building is essentially a luxury apartment if you chose to live in 2005. I regret renewing my lease and do not recommend living here. The price they are trying to charge now would get you an apartment with better amenities elsewhere.
