The teachers are friendly and attentive to our child. Our child enjoys seeing the teachers when we drop off, and is happy when we pick up.
The center director is not a very compassionate person. I understand and agree with the recent health protocols and related restrictions. However, I never felt any empathy from the director when she would call to tell us to pick up our child, in fact she seemed proud to call us to tell us our kid would need to stay home. Due to health restrictions our child was home 60% of the first 2 months when we started at UCAR KinderCare. Because this is a corporate establishment, any discussion we had with the director always was resulted in her sharing verbiage or diagrams from the corporate documentation. I've also seen her send out 'reminder' emails about the health protocols to all the parents after another parent tried to discuss their disagreement about their child's symptoms, almost as if the director was trying to snub the other parent by sending an email out to all parents. That kind of behavior is not helpful.
This last year has been difficult for all parents, and the director only made it harder.

If on the other hand your child is more disruptive and needs extra attention and space to cool down, you may be better off looking somewhere else. This center does not have the staff or space to allow for deviant behavior. For instance there is no separate space for the kids who don't nap. They can either lay quietly on their mats or do quiet activities like reading. If they can't, they'll be in trouble. If the day is going badly, the center will call you and tell you to pick your child up and not come back until the next day.
