image I want to say good things about this clinic, but Im honestly disappointed. Ive been seeing them since early 2021 when I got pregnant with my first child. Its just not been the best experience.
Scheduling appointments is hard. Im sure they are a busy clinic, but youre almost immediately placed on hold when you call. Strangely enough, the automated message says to use the BCH portal to schedule an appointment, but you cant use the portal to schedule prenatal appointments with them.
Their empathy is low, and they arent the best at giving information, even when you ask. With my first kiddo, I had a planned C-section due to prior health stuff. It was my first pregnancy, and so I was anxious. At my last appointment before delivery, I asked the provider what I should do if I go into labor before the scheduled c-section. She told me that there was no chance that would happen and gave me no info at all. My water broke 5 days later, 2 days before the scheduled date.
More recently, I have had a chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage, and with both scenarios, Ive felt a big lack of empathy. I know as a medical professional that you cant just get emotionally caught up with every sad situation you experience, but I still feel like you can be a little empathetic. I know its common and happens to more people than I know. But were talking about me right now. Also, not sure if 2 weeks out from a miscarriage is the best time to harp on someone for their weight. I get it, and youre probably right. But Im obviously sad and struggling with this loss, so maybe dont kick me while Im down.
Some of the providers and nurses are really great, but during prenatal stuff they rotate so you see everyone. I know thats probably standard, and I dont mind seeing different people as long as theyre all kind and helpful. Theres a nurse named Lori who is very kind, and I appreciate her hearing me out when I felt like something was wrong.
Overall, I wouldnt recommend them. I will be finding a new OBGYN and hoping for more compassion and empathy, as well as ease of scheduling.
