Serenity House was my mom's home for the last 5 years of her life. Over that time, her needs changed and her care became complicated. Serenity House staff always listened, always brainstormed solutions, always made accommodations and always demonstrated that they cared (both about my mom and about me). My goals for my mom were that she be as safe and happy as possible. Serenity House shared those goals and did all they could to see that my mom met those goals.

Serenity House was an amazing experience for our Mom and our family. The one thing that sets them apart from other assisted living facilities is they actually do what they say they will do, CARE FOR YOUR LOVED ONE. The home was always very clean, nutritious meals and a very dedicated staff that truly cares about the residents and does whatever it takes to make there life easier and happy. The house manager was one of the hardest working individuals I ever met; she was very organized, had a strict routine & really new how to run a household. She also was one of the most compassionate people & had the biggest heart. After many places that Mom lived that were a huge disappointment and unfilled promises, Serenity House was a breath of fresh air. We finally found a place that cared for our Mom and instead of being involved every minute of the day we could come to her home at Serenity House and enjoy her home and there beautiful outdoor space and have a nice visit. Mike (the owner) having a physical therapy background is a big plus as he is really in tune to the needs of his residents and is very proactive in making sure their care needs are met properly. Sonia handles the operations of the business and is wonderful to deal with. She is so knowledgeable, responsive and comes up with creative solutions in the best interest of the resident.

I was very relieved to find Serenity House to care for my father. He was 98 when he became a resident until his death later this year.
The home was always spotless, smelled fresh, and was organized in terms of daily care and meals. The caretakers were always positive, loving, and careful in taking care of him and kept us constantly updated to his situation and overall health.
I was so pleased with everyone connected with Serenity House. I would strongly recommend them

Serenity House cared for my dad a little over two years until his passing. The staff at the Kit Carson House was wonderful, caring, and kind. Their compassion and dedication to the task at hand was amazing. The staff in the main office was always helpful in providing guidance regarding our dad's care. I liked that they got my dad out of his room and into the common area. I highly recommend Serenity House.

Serenity House is amazing! The staff, without exception, is professional, loving, compassionate, and competent. We are extremely impressed with the effort they take to communicate with the family members, especially regarding the dispensation of prescription and over-the-counter medicines. We enjoy the special events, such as picnics, holiday parties, and musical guests. The home is absolutely clean. The ratio of residents to staff is low, so the residents and families receive individual attention. The staff gets to know the residents' personalities and needs. For many residents, this is a frustrating time of their lives, as they have lost the independence of driving and being in control of all aspects of their lives. The staff is nurturing and understanding, while enforcing rules to keep their residents safe, healthy, and engaged. We love how the residents treat each other like family, as they eat all meals together. My father has never been happier in an assisted living residence. There is a special place in heaven for the staff of Serenity House!
