image If you are local and love wine you should visit this place. This is a small batch personalized service. The owner takes pride in his work and he shows it. Tony was an amazing host and was very informative. We didnt become members but are really thinking of going back and following through. The wine was really good. We ended up bringing home a bottle of Cab Franc. If you love wine, you won't be disappointed.

image Best winery from our Temecula trip! It's a bit further out than the usual cluster of wineries in Temecula but it was oh so worth the drive. The venue is lovely, peaceful, and the vineyards make for a beautiful background for photos. The owner, Tony, took me and my girlfriend in last minute and personally treated us to the most personable, intimate, and unforgettable wine tasting experience we've ever had. He's a very genuine, generous, and interesting host. He's like the Dos Equis guy but for wine! The quality of the wine & sangria he produces far outshined any of the other wines we tasted from the other wineries we visited. We even took 4 bottles to go! 11/10 would come back here again most definitely if we're ever in the area. Thanks again Tony for making our trip much more enjoyable, hope to see you again.

image La Serenissima offers sublime, old world hospitality married to some of the finest food-wines in California. It is a refreshing anomaly in an increasingly homogenous industry in terms of both the wine itself and the tasting experience. It is a place where the winemaker himself guides you on your tasting journey and you are invited to linger over each and every pour.
While a handful of Southern California winemakers have attempted to bring Italian varietals stateside with varying degrees of success, winemaker Tony Tiso is the only one to have successfully brought consummate Italian winemaking methods and philosophies stateside with astonishing skill. The stress-farmed vineyard's pinot grigio, arneis, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, tempranillo, and syrah each yield a robust grape that is subjected to remarkably little coaxing in order to transform into fine wine of deep complexity and character. The result is a dynamic portfolio of wines that, like the Old World wines from which they draw inspiration, are deeply influenced by the seasonal fluctuations of rain and temperature, producing truly distinct vintages from year-to-year.
Although perfectly enjoyable on their own, the full potential of each wine is best achieved when paired with a carefully crafted meal, which brings their full complexity to light. During informal blind taste tests carried out with friends by yours truly, Tony's wines have unequivocally bested some of Paso's and Napa's higher profile wines - a testament to their quality.
The Tiso's entertain in warm, old world style, but only by reservation. The Venetian-inspired villa's tasting room is intimate, baronial and residentially sophisticated - a far cry from the buzzing social spaces of other nearby wineries. Here, time moves slower, and the experience is relaxed. It is the perfect winery for eager newcomers (seeking an education and a means of deepening their appreciation of fine wines) and jaded oenophiles (pining for a simpler, purer tasting experience) alike.
A Word of Caution: When tasting in the region, make this the first (or only) winery you visit during your day. It is manifestly a place to savor and enjoy - you can go out just to "drink" somewhere further down the highway. To make this place part of a "wine crawl" is akin to visiting the Louvre for the first time after you've gone blind - a pointless waste.
La Serenissima is, without contest, the Morlet of Southern California. Come here eager, open-minded, and fresh. You will not be disappointed.
Salute.
