image Appointments are required these days, no walk ins. I tried calling twice but always got the voicemail - I found it easier in the end to message the owner on Instagram and she responded quickly and got me set up with an appointment with someone the next day.
When I got there (weekday afternoon), the salon was empty, so it was like a nice private haircut with my hairdresser - nice for COVID times where you hope there's less people around!
The salon is nice and clean, and uses high quality products. I've been coming several times with different hairdressers and have always had a positive experience!
Payment can be done by credit card, and you can tip via Venmo which is convenient given many people don't carry cash anymore.

image After trying to resolve the issue and not bringing forward all my issues in my previous review, I have decided to update my review with more information. My first complaint is the root melt that is just not even there. The first picture I provided (blue shirt) is from the very night I got my hair done. I did not wash my hair or anything and it had harsh lines of demarcation. I was not able to see the top of my head until later, how was I allowed to walk out of the salon like that? This is additional evidence that she must've been rushing for something and did not complete my hair. I contacted Jasmine the night of my appointment and received no reply. Only after I had posted my initial review did she finally reply to me a week later. This is despite the fact I knew she was being active on her instagram through out the time she did not respond to me. I feel that I was blatantly ignored because I had issues with her work and so she did not want to fix it. Within the 7 days it took for Jasmine to respond to my initial complaint, I discovered more issues. My sister and friends began to mention that the back of my head seemed incomplete and not blended to the rest of my babylights. Not only that, but within one wash, the toner had completely faded and I was left with yellow hair. I provided the shade of my hair from after my appointment and if you compare it to the picture of the second rootmelt picture, my hair is extremely yellow. I had to tone my hair again only one week after my hair appointment. A toner is usually redone after 6-8 weeks.. and I had to do it within 1 week after just 2 washes.When Jasmine responded, I asked for compensation and was told, "Hello, my apologies since I was busy prior. I can compensate for what a rootmelt would be which would be $50 since that seems to be the only issue." With the rootmelt now not being the only issue after she took a week to respond, I began to explain the rest of my complaints. Again, I was ignored. I message again a week later. One of the things she said was "how from the start you mentioned that it was only the rootmelt that was the issue, which I couldn't get to you sooner to get you in and get it fixed. After a day or two from  that, you mentioned there was more issues abruptly." As explained before, I found these issues within the week that it took Jasmine to finally respond to my first text. I had initially liked my hair when I looked at the front. But as I started to put my camera up and then look at the back again with a mirror, I began to find issues. Instead of just updating my review and texting again to a person that I already felt was ignoring me, I decided to wait instead for a response. I was ignored for just complaining about my rootmelt, how was I going to mention my other complaints? Am I not allowed to find more issues? I can not easily see behind my head just like how I cannot easily see the top of my head. Also, Jasmine's text says the rootmelt "seems to be the only issue". I clarify that it's not the only issue and then it's an issue that I am bringing up the other issues??Jasmine offered to refund me to $50 for only the rootmelt. But with my other issues, I felt this was extremely unfair. Not only that, but one of her reasonings to refund me less is her claim of a double tone. I am pretty sure she did not double tone me and when I again tried to text to clarify the double tone, I was just ignored. I had to add more foils after my initial foils, and I think Jasmine believes (or wants me to believe) that she toned me, I wanted to add more foils, and then she had to tone me again. However, I know for a fact that I had requested more foils right after Jasmine had taken the initial foils and that I was only toned once. I told her to clarify without any accusing tone to just understand her point of view and understand where the double tone came from since she is using the no charge of the second tone ($100) as part of her reasoning to only refund me $50. I basically had no rootmelt or toner which is from her breakdown $150. I should get at least $150 refunded but instead because I was "double-toned" I should get only $50 back. I have again been ignored and so after a month of trying to work things out, I would like to just update my review since I have given up.Jasmine will ignore you instead of trying to understand your perspective. Her lack of response is very unprofessional and I would not recommend her. She is dismissive and will just ignore any complaint you have.
