If you are searching for a holistic health center that honestly stands by the meaning of "kindness and good health" - The Peninsula Holistic Health Center is most certainly where you want to go for all of your holistic acupuncture/health guidance needs.
Dr. Kimberly Burke is extremely wonderful in all aspects, as she takes the time to assess your personal health needs, and then works out program that suits what works best for you.
Her intentions are compassionate and caring, and she is extremely intelligent!
This hidden gem of greatness should be sought out more often.

We had visited many doctors prior to help my wife dealing with premature menopause. Other than throwing estrogen at 'the problem' they had no answer - and we realized that 'regular Western medicine' wasn't solving anything. After she had visited Dr. Burke we learned an incredible amount about how a body works, how the chemicals and transmitters work (or don't) and how everything can be brought together with an unconventional mix of eastern and western medicine: diet change, supplements and acupuncture were all part of Dr Burke's holistic plan to getting well again. While we saw my wife's overall health and symptoms improve (keep in mind: it took years to get it wrong - things don't heal over night) I started seeing Dr. Burke as well as I had sleep issues: I could fall asleep easily - but 2-3 hours into sleeping the night was over, and neither alcohol nor anything else changed this. I guess, I'm more the 'cause - effect' kind of person, so, after we did my blood work we took hours to go through every line item and Dr. Burke invested the time to explain everything. Long story short: change in diet, supplements and a little time - and sweet slumber has come back to me. However, don't expect a 'one-visit-and-your-healed' experience. These things don't exist (that's called magic). Expect a profoundly well explained analysis why you probably need to change some aspects of your life style, expect a trusted person you can open yourself up to and have very candid conversations, who understands the art of listening and truly wants to help you get better.
We've now been 2+ years with Dr. Burke, still see her regularly and still get to experience what 'regular' doctors were not able to do. What is deeply impressive is her understanding of the complex ways a body works and her ability to explain it (if you want to). We live a very healthy life style and enjoy every moment in life.
